  1. Mann's B-1 or a Rapala Flat rap should do the trick, keep your rod tip up.
  2. for the ponds around here I bring a bps tackle bag, an assortment of topwaters, spinners, plastics etc, and two rods, a baitcaster and a spinning rod.
  3. Hello, and welcome!
  4. Welcome! That is a great fish!
  5. Not a problem! If you do find yourself doing some wading, canoeing, kayaking, etc a shop I used to frequent, back when I was in NOVA, was Murray's Fly Shop down in Edinburg. Even if you don't fly fish, you can go in there and chat with old man Murray. He can tell you places to put in (canoe / kayak) and some of the best places to fish. I used to split my time between flies and spinning / baitcasting and I would always stop in at his shop when I was in the area. http://www.murraysflyshop.com/ Best of luck to you.
  6. Yes you can launch out of Riverton, be aware as others have said of the hazards in the water and the summer boaters. I have had some of my best success on the river fishing the North Fork down near Willow Grove, Edinburg, and on to Mt Jackson in a canoe / kayak. Good luck!
  7. How did the tourney go?
  8. Great video, thanks for posting!
  9. In no particular order, Senko, Popper, Tubes, Spinners, Flies (various)
  10. Welcome!
  11. Welcome!
  12. Been lurking on the forum for a long time so I figured I'd finally make an account. I'm from Northern VA (now in SC) and used to fish the Shenandoah, Potomac, and the lakes/reservoirs up there. Moved to coastal SC last year, so now I'm working on my inshore technique and looking for freshwater where I can find it. Been fishing for years and the love sport.
  13. I typically throw jerks and cranks in the ponds around here... seems to work well.
  14. In Bluffton SC, just across the river from you.
