Psychofish

I was flipping and pitching boat docks/slips in a marina the other day at a lake that has a VERY healthy carp population. I was trying to trick a smaller bass into striking as he was hugging a support beam. Suddenly three much larger carp came swimming by, he shot out and into the middle of them scaring them off, then returned to his position. I thought that was interesting to observe.

Ugh, "that guy" no matter what we're throwing, it's wrong. Fishing fast? He wants to fish slow. Fishing slow? He wants to move all over. I position the boat parallel with the shore, he insists on casting to the front of the boat. Turn the boat perpendicular, he wants to cast to the shore. Swears he knows what he's doing and has been doing it for years!! Yet calls even the most well known lures and rigs by the wrong name. Thinks it's the funniest thing that " have a thing for hitting submerged trees with a lure! Don't you know you're gonna get hung up casting in there eventually!?" I try to smile and just fish, but some days I want to pitch him off the side.
