  1. Hey guys, I am fixing up an old '86 Aerodyne 20' tournament boat and it didn't come with any manuals for the boat. I was hoping someone could help me figure out the livewell system. I have two live wells, two thru hull pumps (with overflow outlets in the wells), two recirc (aerator) pumps. At the bow there is a livewell control center that has an automatic timer knob and a manual/ automatic switch. There are two main power breakers one labled main livewell, one labled Auxilliary livewell. Also there is a livewell switch on the Accessories panel (photo of back). and a switch for each livewell at the back deck. (that's alot of stuff!) The other day I was out and wanted to test the livewells while fishing a little, I flipped on the main switches and flipped the Accessory panel switch, and one of the wells began to fill, once that one was full, the other filled as well, it was here my testing went down the tubes. I wanted to try to get them to just use the recirculation pumps to see if they would work properly so I tried using the Accessory panel switch (this may have worked had this switch not broken) It had no resistance, or stops and clearly was not operating properly. I tryed flipping front from auto to manual.. and flipping the back switches on and off. i finally just turned them off at the main breakers. I basically need to replace this switch (so any info on type of switch.. double pull.. single this... tripple that.. etc. would be helpful) and in the process I am hoping to gain a better understanding of how this system is supposed to be working so I can make sure everything is right.
  2. $65/ hour???? man.... I would mail my boat across the country to get labor rates that low!!!! ;D
  3. I may be misunderstanding, but I think the blocks you speak of could be the magnets that allow the motor to work (attached to the motor housing), if those are loose, they shouldn't be.
  4. I have a 1986 Evinrude XP200. and I did have a bad power pack, port side. It ran way worse than what you are describing. I had simptoms close to what you are having when I had a vacuum leak at the lines on the carbs. I am not saying that that is your problem ( I am not even sure you have the same type of lines), but it only took me about 10 dollars worth of hose to fix. Might be worth a shot! Hopefully you don't have an electrical gremlin, those can be time consuming, and sometimes expensive to chase down.
  5. Make me an offer.......... This unit is EXTREMELY nice........... ask anyone who has had experience with one! anyone feel free to comment on this Handheld GPS! http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1173241166 Later, Craig
  6. Hey, If you ever have trouble finding wiring, your local car audio shops usually stock all the wiring/ distribution blocks/ fuses etc. you can dream of........... and on the plus side, sometimes you can even add a little "Bling" 8-) to your boat!
