  1. Thanks for the replies, just ordered the $179 Stradic. Kinda figured I wouldnt find it cheeper than that.
  2. Okay in another post, I was asking for help on a finesse spinning reel and alot of great answers, but one stood out on taking my rod to a store and trying out a couple different reels for balance and feel. Well of corse it would be the Stradic ci4+ 2500FA! Its was a close second for the Pflueger president. My question is anyone know if there is a better price out there than $179 on the Stradic(found this on line)? The dealer I went to wanted full retail of $219 and I was not going to drop that much. Thanks in advance for all the knowledge on this forum.
  3. Only the 35 size. Too lg for what want it for. Good price though.
  4. Thanks for all the responses. I think I'm going with the Pflueger xt 25.
  5. $200 or less, preferably less is about all I want to invest in a decent reel.
  6. I have a few Custom Lites and love them. Sensitive, lite and can fish without getting wore out.
  7. I recently purchased a Lew's Custom Lite 7' med extra fast rod and need to pair it up with a reel for finesse usage. There are tooooooo many to decide. What would you pair it with?
  8. Early Father's day present from my baby girl!
  9. Broke down a bought another Lew's Custom Lite today. 7' Med extra fast finesse rod. Now it's time to pair it up to a nice reel!?
  10. I'm a plastic kinda guy. Baits and binder arsenal, two Lew's a couple weeks old. Got a bunch of tungsten weights, but no photos.
  11. I only own one, Fury 734c. I use it primarily for soft plastics weighted. I wouldn't hesitate buying another when I have a need for another specific rod. Great value and no complaints here.
  12. I really like my Helix 5.
  13. Anti reverse yes, but capabilities to reel backwards no.
  14. I haven't seen any at the Mart. I bought two casting models recently at a local dealer.
  15. $50 bucks! Better jump on that deal. Everywhere I have seen are between $149-$179 depending on model.
  16. Thanks smalljaw, great explanation . I have mostly specific rods, but carrying average of 7 set ups and this will make 8 gets overly cluttered in my little pond jumper. I wanted a generalized finesse set up so I will persue getting the shaky head rod. The rods in question are Lew's Custom Lites.
  17. Thank you, kinda what I was thinking but wanted another opinion.
  18. I'm looking at two spinning rods and would like to know the difference. Both rods are med extra fast, but one is 6'10" and the other is 7'. The 6'10 says it's a drop shot and the 7' says shaky head. Is there really a difference other than length? They are both by same manufacturer.
  19. This is where I mounted my Helix 5 si on a ram mount. You may want to check out the boat and kayak forum here. There is a dedicated thread for the 10e.
  20. Soft plastic, Dobyns, Lew's rods and Lew's reels.
  21. May as well bite the bullet and get the one you mentioned. I searched and searched for a used one, finally broke down and paid retail at Dick's $699 less the 10% discount they gave me.
  22. Dobyns Fury 734c. $109 or less. Great for all the baits you mentioned, but I use mine primarily for worm.
