  1. Yeah sounds like another robo worm knockoff. Seems pretty meh to me... I don't see myself getting any unless they come up with some perfect plastic Swimmin caffeine shad in OPT maybe
  2. I picked up the larger size popper today in the black bone color on sale at Cabela's, I look forward to trying it out. The hooks seem high quality yet a little small for the size of the lure. I guess they'll still stick a fish though
  3. I assume it's just the OKC location because they're doing a lot of rearranging of the store, but our Cabela's had some UNBELIEVABLE sales in fishing today... We're talking KVD jerkbaits for $1.88, war eagle jigs for $0.88, arashi crankbaits and sq bills for $3.88, arashi deep for $5.88, 10XD for $8.99, 8XD for $7.99, megabass knuckle for $6, vision 110+ for $15, etc... WOW! If I didn't restrain myself I would have spend a couple hundred bucks on stuff, but I already have more than I can fit in my tackle bag. I still left with a whole lot of goodies though (good colors too), so I'm happy! edit: just figured that what I got today would have ran me about $200 on TW, I spent $80...
  4. I just bought a bag of glow in the dark super flukes last week, still waiting to get out and try them at night, I'll report back here
  5. Here is a link to a useful video on casting big baits. I've learned a lot from Matt Allen on youtube regarding big baits.
  6. I got some senkos from that sale too, but it was before they marked them down to $4 a bag. I paid $5 a bag but it was worth it because I got the good colors before they ran out (watermelon red, black and blue, green pumpkin, baby bass)
  7. Yeah there's no way that they were charging $8 for that, must have been mislabeled. Either way, good buy for $2 and use a rage craw! Also check out the forum search bar and/or youtube for fishing jigs and good luck to you
  8. They match their online prices if you tell them at the register
  9. Why not? Favorite soft plastic would be a yamamoto senko, no real jig preference, crankbait is strike king... Honestly though, this question is much too vague and you're going to get a huge variety of answers. You should do more simple online research
  10. Can you still consider yourself family owned when you're a publicly traded company?
  11. I killed it when i got a bump on a big swimbait to land my pb
  12. I actually work at a Cabela's part time. As long as I keep my job it's fine by me.

    live target

Try bending the hooks out a little, or using a trailer hook
  14. Off the top of my head, strike king cranks, booyah spinnerbaits, and rapala jerkbaits are good for the money
  15. One time I cut a senko in half and used mend-it to place both halves opposite of each other attached to another senko. That was probably a poor way of wording that, but it made an X shape out of 2 senkos. I caught a dink on it, and later I found out that there's actually a product that exists like that already.
  16. If you want a similar concept in a smaller bait check out the Jackall Binksy
  17. I'm going to order the big one in the wood duck pattern. Can't wait to post pics of the dinks that I catch on it
  18. the line welder doesn't actually weld the line to itself, it basically holds it together with some epoxy type stuff... It could be practical in some situations but a lot of times the fish are gonna see a chunk of plastic in front of the lure. That's just the impression I got from the classic this year when I tried one

    Senko

Does the molded o ring really do anything? I don't see how that would help...
  20. A lipless crankbait to cover some water, then a senko
  21. The only fishing hats I wear are the PFG flexfit ones. Mostly because they're the only ones that fit my big head (L/XL).
  22. Is your spool completely full? 150yds of 30lb braid might not fill a spool up, and an under-filled spool can decrease casting distance. I'm not sure that this is your problem, but it might help. That and you could turn your brake or spool tension down
  23. Sometimes. Don't expect it to work every time even though it is a good finesse technique.
  24. I'm most excited about the savage gear rat and duck as well.
  25. You could definitely get away with it
