  1. Overstock now has a 2 for 1 and 3 for 1 sale. Yamamoto stuff, z man craws, psycho dads, senkos, etc.
  2. @Yeajray231 you're in luck the psycho dad is on a good sale
  3. Ohh that big ole sucker... my mistake I read 130
  4. 17 colors options isn't enough...?
  5. Technically copolymer but I use P Line CXX
  6. I bet on certain days you will have a better catch rate with the skirt. All depends on what they want that day. For me though, I like rage tail craws a lot
  7. I don't doubt that someone here will know exactly what he's talking about, even with only a vague description But @Yeajray231 I haven't heard of those! Sound cool though
  8. I bought a lure retriever today, finally... If I bought one 3 or 4 10XD's ago I'd be happier! I also bought a crawfish trap so I can match my lures to the color of the crawfish. For fly fishing, I was able to score a spool of SI Sonar line ($80) for like $22 in the bargain cave at cabela's. I also bought some 16lb leaders and 16lb tippet for my 8 weight so I can reel in some nice sized bass without as much fear of line breaking.
  9. Where did you hear this? Only thing I can find online about it is you making a similar claim on a different forum.
  10. Great explanation, thanks
  11. I was wondering about this recently... If I can boat flip a 5lb fish why would I be worried about my rod breaking on a cast? Seems like that question has just about been answered in this thread already but since I was also wondering the same thing I wanted to mention it as well
  12. Heading down there Wednesday. We'll fish Thursday-Sunday. Planned on banging the banks, but some of these reports are sounding like we should fish a little deeper
  13. not impressed with this sale I've made many orders from overstock but not this time
  14. http://www.bassresource.com/how-to-fish/ There is so much information on this site... Take a look around and your questions and more that you didn't even think to ask will be answered.
  15. Yes I've used it a few times. Caught fish on a SK jointed structure head with a z-hog. Seems like a decent beaver style bait...
  16. Sound like no one on these forums has actually tried out the new GLX, so your question wasn't really answered. I made a similar thread awhile back but until people get the new GLX and really use it we won't know. To attempt to answer your question, I don't think you'll regret buying either one, so what it comes down to is this: can you save up and be able to afford the NRX? Wait and get that one. If it makes more sense to you to buy the GLX price-wise, and you held it in your hand and liked it, then get that one.
  17. I think that will work, people use braid on trebles quite often
  18. I have an IMX 6'8" Medium Fast (802C). It's a "topwater" rod but imo it works great for jerkbaits as well. I honestly haven't been able to use it much recently so I can't give a proper review, but I like the length, handle, and action so far...
  19. Off by over a pound for me. My 11.12 was 27" long. Just buy a scale off amazon for less than $10! (Not directed at you, just a general statement for this thread) Don't forget to cut another piece for the length if you don't have a ruler...
  20. Still doesn't really explain why it doesn't cost as much. It appears to have quality paint, details, and components like the original gunfish. AND it's larger, which would almost make you think it would cost even more than the original...
  21. I haven't, but I'd sure like to! Definitely update this thread when you've tried em, hopefully the update will consist of fish pics
  22. I'm sure this will one of those "let the fish tell you" threads. The fish told you they liked a floater today, keep throwing it until they tell you they don't like it and maybe they'll hit a suspender again.
  23. ^ this is probably your best option. This looks to be a great option... Good colors with bright claws available on TW, good size options, and good price too.
