  1. I personally wouldn't get anything under 7' for your application, but maybe that's because I'm 6'4"
  2. Are your costas glass or plastic lenses? I'm with @NorthwestBasser - nothing beats costa 580G
  3. I don't think those baits are going to hurt a regular sized reel.
  4. My dad took some bridal pics of my fiancé for free, so as a thank you she handed me her card and told me to buy him some baits He's getting into bigger baits so I ordered him a couple different colors of Optimum Boom Boom weedless swimbaits, Owner beast hooks to go with them, a 7" AA Bad Bubba Shad and heads to go with it, some Mend It, a BBZ Rat 50, and replacement tails for it. I hope he likes them! I know he will.
  5. I got 19 bags of plastics at walmart yesterday for $1 a pack. SK rodents, Biffle bugs, and Zoom lizards in great colors. Finally a good find after checking multiple walmarts over the last month or two!
  6. $19 at walmart on clearance. I bought all they had. 9 bags of cali craw rodents 7 bags of watermelon red biffle bugs 3 bags of black lizards
  7. Yeah we were there for a retreat so we decided to fish while we were there. I probably wouldn't make a special trip just to bank fish from there I was pleasantly surprised by the amount I caught
  8. Welcome. I'm moving to Tulsa next month!
  9. Yep. I hopped between several marinas. I'm not sure that I was "allowed" to be there, but no one bothered me and at one of the spots a couple employees just said hey and moved along.
  10. Thanks @Ski213 I won with 8 fish for 10-12 2nd was 6 for 5-10 3rd was 2 for 1-14 4th was 0 My first fish of the day was 3-7 in the first 30 minutes! The rest of the day was a slow but steady pattern of 3-6ft on a tx rigged rage craw in double header
  11. This isn't an invitation (sorry ), I'm just sharing about this little tournament we're doing because I'm excited about it. I'm doing a (very) small BANK fishing tournament with some friends this weekend at a lake that none of us have been to. It's at Grand Lake tomorrow from 7am-2pm. We're going to treat our cars like "boats," meaning we can drive around to whatever publicly accessible areas we want throughout the day. Odds are we're gonna be in the same spots. We're doing MLF format using their Scoretracker Live software, and I'm requiring that everyone takes a picture of every fish on a digital scale for proof. It's gonna be fun! Hopefully I win
  12. Wow great find, the new livetarget threadfin shad swimbaits are on there for $4 each when you by 4 that's over half off
  13. That must have taken a lot of practice... Not many people can skip that well
  14. I would consider getting a G Loomis E6X in that price range. But the new Daiwa Tatula Elite rods do look pretty cool, I'd consider those too. Man choosing rods is hard lol, so many different brands
  15. That's a good question, I forgot about those lol. I assume those will get phased out too That would make sense. Just not a very big market for $700 rods
  16. That length measurement would be helpful in guessing but it's still gonna be a guess. You people need to get a scale & ruler and keep them on you when you're fishing!!

    Classic

I wonder if there is a disadvantage having to wait several more hours by weighing in at the end? I've always heard fish lose weight in the livewell...
  18. @Lucky Craft Man has there been an announcement for the asquith for bass? I wonder what that's gonna look like
  19. Like during the whole retrieve or just at the end? How fast are you running them?
  20. Looks like G Loomis is re-releasing the IMX line as the "IMX Pro" line of rods. I noticed that IMXs and their specialty lineup are all on sale on TW, I wonder if the IMX Pro is replacing both of those lines of rods to simplify their offerings. That would make sense... So now we've got the E6X at $200, IMX Pro at $300, GLX at $400, and NRX at $500. These were released in 2015, 2017, 2016, and 2010 respectively. It sounds to me like the NRX is the next line of rods to get an overhaul.
  21. North Fork Composites (Gary Loomis) has 50% off blanks plus 50% off shipping for those of you who build rods
  22. North Fork Composites (Gary Loomis) has 50% off blanks plus 50% off shipping... If you build rods or know a guy who does now's a good chance to get a high dollar blank
  23. they should have a 10 or 15% off in the next month or so if you wanted to wait
  24. Which walmart??
