  1. That looks cool. Does it make noise or does it just swim?
  2. So it starts on Monday. It is typically 10 or 15% off?
  3. One of the better options I found with the current DSG bogo 50% sale is to get 2 of the senko kits. So you get 80 GYB senkos with 2 plano boxes for $44.98, which comes to $5.63 per bag of senkos with 2 free boxes. Not a shocking deal but definitely a good buy if you use senkos. Oh they're good colors too: Green Pumpkin, Black with Blue Glitter, Watermelon/White Laminate, Watermelon Magic, Electric Shad, and Green Flash
  4. @THE_Vue's where do you get daiwa gear like that?
  5. I'd go with st36

    Senko Re-Bait

That's awesome. I've had that happen except it was an hour later in the same spot. Consecutive casts is even crazier! Shows that the bass was either very territorial and aggressive OR it really liked the taste of the senko
  7. The top 2 were bogo 50% off. Not a great deal but I "needed" an 8xd so i got the senkos for like $3. The DTs came from gander for under $6 each, the 14s in Parrot were only $3something each
  8. Gander is has lures down to 30% off, 25% off hooks. Getting a little better but I'd like to see 40-50%, then I'd clean house. I'm pretty sure they change the prices on sundays, maybe every other sunday.
  9. Good read, thought I'd share http://www.in-fisherman.com/bass/factors-giant-bass/
  10. will it work a second time? it says march through september, I assume you can only use 4 forms (16 bags) between that whole period? i used 4 forms a couple months ago
  11. I'm waiting for the sale to go below 20% off before it's worth it to me!
  12. Can it be done? Obviously so if you did it and it worked! Now it would probably be a more consistent/cleaner presentation if you threaded it onto a jig with a keeper
  13. I can't tell you how many times I've said that
  14. Story time lol: I ordered some Savage Gear Rats from overstock bait a few days ago, and yesterday I found that Cabela's had them on sale for even cheaper! So I emailed overstock to cancel the order so I could order from Cabela's for less. So this morning the refund went through and I get on Cabela's to check out.... aaaaaaand the sale was over... LOL so I shamefully got back on overstock and placed the order again. I should have just ordered the rats from cabela's right away I guess. Oh well, I'm mostly impressed with myself that I ordered TWICE from overstock and only got the stuff I was looking for, it was hard not to throw in a few cheap jigs and one knockers... So anyways, I have a modification that I want to try on these rats, I'll make a new thread if it works the way I want it to sadly, since overstock is pretty slow to ship and I delayed it a few days by cancelling, it'll probably be at least a week
  15. Looking closer this might be a modified thing. Idk
  16. A few things I've acquired via trade recently
  17. That sounds like an appropriate question for this forum. The best I've found so far is a 100 pack for $49.99 from tackle warehouse, not a bad deal. It would be an even better deal if you got it on one of their sales they do from time to time
  18. I would start buy asking other local fishermen what baits to use! Picking the brains of locals will save you an insane amount of time, and money if it keeps you from buying the whole tackle store lol.
  19. Outstanding bag, especially for the $20 i paid
  20. This is my tackle bag. It's most of what I own. Now that I do the big swimbait thing I have separate boxes for those (and this doesn't include 80% of my soft plastics). That being said, I don't take this whole bag with me when I go fishing. I decide what techniques I'm going to be using, grab an empty 3600 box and throw what I need in there, then put that box, bags of plastics, tools, a scale, and a snack in a small tackle bag and take that along. This method works great when tagging along in someone else's boat. After the day is over I usually take everything back out of the small bag, put everything back in its place in the large bag, then repeat the process next time I go out. Now if I'm going to Toledo for a week to fish with my dad I just take the whole bag and keep it in his spare rod locker.
  21. I don't know what it is, but my Lews Tournament Lite G casts AMAZING. Like better than some of my $200-300+ reels
  22. Use an 8xd It is super strong and much thicker diameter than average, but it's not coated with fluoro
  23. all of the above lol. A good starting point is a slow constant retrieve, then what @1201vilbig said: that's pretty much exactly what i do too. works even better on larger sized baits
  24. You're gonna go with the inferior rod because of the looks?
