I think sometimes it's just the luck of the draw too. Sometimes there is just no rhyme and reason to it all that's for sure and it gets frustrating but hang in there, i deal with the same thing, although on a boat and not the shore, the person i fish with only uses live bait and use mostly plastics and crank bait. Sometimes it just takes alot of perseverence and don't get caught comparing yourself. Enjoy the relaxation of fishing and see you gained at least that during your time...Know what I mean? That's very true, I agree. You don't know how happy I am that I found this forum. I haven't seen too many good ones anywhere online. I just want to learn and meet people with the same 'hobby' as I have. This is nice. I'm pretty excited

I ditto EVERYONE.....here where I live in Maryland (harford county) it's crazy, the weather and everything..today it's 50 and tomorrow it's suppose to be 70 and sunny. Who knows, my bites have been little to none. I"m in the HORRIBLE slump for sure. Only pulling out stupid little fish sticks like less than quarter pounders......what can I say. I'll be out tomorrow for sure and I better pull out something worth taking a picture for..............I wanna cry :'(

I'm curious.......... What is everyone's favorite time to fish, rain, drizzle, over cast, sunny, fall, spring, summer??????? When do you find your best time is??? Night, morning, and at different times where do you fish, middle of the pond, bay etc..... or shallows etc........ Mine: I like an over cast day, middle of the day I tend to fish further from the banks and as evening hits I get closer to the shore near trees etc.........

That would be so much fun. I wish there was a couple around here for us to go fishing with. My husband is JUST learning to get into bass fishing but his patience is about zero and sometimes I end up being the "fix the hook" lady but someday he will learn how to bass fish properly. He laughs at me for using PLASTIC, he doesn't understand AT ALL-LOLOLOL. So I just sit and smile and say ok, you use your little worm, and I will wait for my BIG MAMA:). What does he pull out???? LITTLE FISH STICKS-LOLOLOLOLOLOL that's life, we laugh and we smile and take it all in stride.

I am also in a slump right now. I am in Maryland and fishing the rivers around the bay. I see bass jumping everywhere around me and it teases me constantly and I get frustrated. I just get out there as much as I can before the weather totally makes it impossible and continue doing what I know works. One of these days my slump will break. I fish mostly senko's because I am comfortable with it and watermelon color is my favorite. I will not bring myself to the point of using live bait. It just goes against my instincts, to me if I catch a fish like that it doesn't mean anything to me. So I will just continue to be patient and wait for my break. It's all part of the joy of fishing I guess. Some days we win some days we loose. What can I say.
