  1. Love this lake!! If time and $$$$ works out, I'm in. Haven't been there in a year and a half and am ready to go back. If it's in the fall, winter or early spring I'm in. Did I mention...........................I'm in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SE Kansas grass grower
  2. Have worked at golf course for 40+ years. Used to play every day. Played mini tours for a few years and a couple PGA Tour events. Played once two years ago, three times last year and played last Tuesday. Birdied 3 of the last seven to shoot 85. Still won 50 bucks. Better to know how to gamble than know how to play!!!!!!!!!!!! 9. No Dook and no Jimmer. ;D ;D Dookie V. might have to get someone to tell him who is left in the tournament. SE Kansas grass grower
  10. Don't care for Duke but, storming the court, really??
  11. Try google maps, acme mapper, or USGS.
  12. Anything but snot grass. SE Kansas grass grower
  13. Sounds like it's time for a Texas road trip.
  14. The largest bass was on a swim senko in about 2' of water north of the boat ramp. All the rest were caught in the discharge or on the large flat out in front of the discharge on a squared billed crank bait or red eyed shad.
  15. Got there about ten this morning. 33 degrees with no wind and not a cloud in the sky. Left about two having a pretty good day. Two smallies with the largest one at 15", 6 LM with the biggest 5# 8 oz., 7 whites, one walleye and one channel. Get out and fish. And POST A REPORT!!!! SE Kansas grass grower

    Mossberg 500

Definately not an 870, but will hold up pretty good if you aren't shooting 30 rounds every day, 200 days a year. Used to sell them at Gibsons, years ago for 69 bucks. But that's when we were selling 870's for a buck and a quarter.
  17. Definately worth dragging the boat. Lake should be prime right now.
  18. This ain't Florida! ;D Next month, the north wind will be howling about 30 mph and the temps will be in the teens to the thirties. To answer your question tho, I think there are a couple of guys that guide on El Dorado lake and probably on Kaw Lake. Be patient, spring will come. SE Kansas grass grower
  19. That's a no-brainer. GO TO FORK!!! I was down there two weeks ago and am going back Friday for a week at Fork and other area lakes. The only real drawback at Fork is that it'll be wall to wall boats in March. I've been going there since '91' and much prefer the fall over spring. Better numbers, no traffic and still a chance to stick a pig. But Fork in the spring can be majical or it can kick your behind. Good Luck. Oh, and get your reservations in now at Lake Fork Marina. 20. Hope everything works out for the best. Definately no Florida toads up here, but like you said, the deer are huge and plentiful. To be honest, I wish they'd just put a two deer a week limit per hunter. There is some good fishing though. Just hope you can handle the winters if you relocate. Good luck! SE Kansas grass grower
  21. I started playing when I was 5 years old. Played professionally for a couple of years out of college. That was untill I got tired of sleeping in a Hilton one week and in the back of my '61' Impalla the next week. I was a club pro for years, changed paths and have been a Superintendent/Club Manager for a long while now. I didn't play once last year and played 3 times this year with my best score this year of 69. After spending all day working at the course, the last thing I want to do when I get off is play golf. 22. Bluebasser, most of the pits are loaded with small, up to 15" bass. The bigger bass are somewhat scarce in the public pits. The best ones for me, for bigger bass have been one two miles east of Cherokee and a quarter mile south, the power line pit one mile west of the KDWP station, on the south side of Belleview Rd., and the trout pit. Another good one is on 180th St. between 540 and 530 Ave. on the easst side of the road. Good luck! SE Kansas grass grower
  23. Hey Rod, when you goin'? I've had good luck in the very backs of the major creeks for largemouth. Spots are abundant on secondary points closer to the main lake. Give me a shout when you get down here, I could possibly meet you as it's only about an hour away. Jon
  24. Love 'em both. Made two 15 1/2 hour trips to Falcon this winter and just got back from my third six hour trip to Fork Monday. Both great lakes and fish completely different. 8-)
  25. Yup, just come on over to the strip pits. Perfect for a yak and most have some bank fishing. A lot of them have cement ramps and range in size from a puddle you can cast across to some that are a couple of miles long. Dark plastics, traps, and jigs for bass. There are plenty of blue gill, crappie, whisker fish, and walleye. SE Kansas grass grower
