big c is very cool

I just bought some spider wire and even though its freezing i went and used it in my river. the hard part i found is that it will split at the end making it hard to tie the lures to it. Does anyone have a way of making it easier to tie the knot or am i the only one who has this problem?

I booked a cabin On Minocqua lake and I heard it was a pretty good fishing lake. I am planning on targeting northerns and musky but once I caught one I heard u can like hold their gills in to stun them so u can get the hook out, take a picture, etc. I was just wondering if this was true and if not wat can i do to do the same sort of stuff. Also I have a few of the worden's flatfish and I read they are great musky lures. Is this true or not and if not wat lures do u think are good for them. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Hi I don't really like fly fishing at all but in the summer I always go to Maine and there are Atlantic Salmon. The guy who owns the bait store says the only way I can catch one is to use a fly fishing rod. Does any one have any other way to catch one maybe by using a jig, topwater, or crankbait. Any help would be greatly appreciated because I really wanna land one of those things this summer. Thanks, Corey

I might try calling the massachusetts wildlife division thing. they probably would have some asnwers. I really want to get out to the quabbin next summer. I heard you can rent a boat for like 40 dollars for the day. If you decide to contact them keep me posted.

I was recently surfing the web to see what was in the taunton river in massachusetts and it said we have a very rare fish called an atlantic sturgeon. I was wondering if anybody has ever caught one before in the taunton river or anywhere else. What baits did you use and how big was it. thanks

I live in South Eastern Mass and I have gotten one small walleye out of theis place called between the lakes in Lakeville. Caught it this summer at around 2 in the mornin. I was also wonderin about the quabbin though because didn't the state record come out of there?

Then I bought that St Croix rod for 80.00 in 7 ft. Then I got 40 lb spider wire. It is my christmas present though so I haven't used it yet. Bummer. Once again thanks for all your help, Corey

I am going to Minnesota next week and I want to be ready to tak a picture with a pike or musky if I catch one. How do you tame that thing without harming it to take a pic? I really wany something to show to my friends. Once again i dont wanna harm it I just wanna calm it down to take a pic with.

I have been fishing seriously for about 6 months now and the walmart poles arent cuttin it anymore. I lost many fish Including what looked to be my first nothern pike. Now I was lloking for a new one for under 100 bucks. The reel I was looking at would be a penn silverado spinning reel. It hold up to fifteen pound line, which should take care of the losing the fish part. It has six ball bearing, and weighs 16 oz. The pole is a cabelas toruney trail spinning rod. It is 6'6" tall and comes in two pieces. I was just wondering if that is a good starter rod. I have one last question about fishing line. Can 10 lb line only hold 10 pounds? I was just looking for an all purpose line that could catch muskie, walleye, northerns, and bass? I dont like to switch it everytime I go fishing and I am sick of losing fish. does anyone have a good technique for the jitterbug. I reel it in nice and slow but whenever i see afish go after it it always missses it. I will see the splas but it never bites at it. It is really weird. Today i went out kayaking on the river and I had at least twenty splashes but I didnt catch one fish!!!!!! Any help would be appreciated.

I live in Massachusetts and the Taunton River runs behind my house which supposedly has some carp in there. I have tried every bait there is and haven't had a bite. My mom is getting mad because i used all the bread. Then today i threw a piece in and the the things comes up to the top of the water and took it down. It was insulting > Any tips would be appreciated.
