  1. I agree with this 100%. First 110 I ever got was Haricho Reaction, which at first glance is a hideous version of "Clown" but over the years it has been my best producing color from the muddiest gizzard shad filled waters in OK to the clearest silverside filled waters in CA. The pattern you got will do great!
  2. Those things are great. They cast very far and walk great! I've caught a number of fish on them this year but they are not good around moss. The little blades get clogged up. Through them around some pads or lay downs though and you'll do good.
  3. Love the full size, don't care much for the Jr. Just work them any time you would a spook or sammy. I think the deep profile of the spittin' image does a better job at matching the hatch when fish are feeding on sunfish or shad.
  4. I have two that I hardly use. Hit me up and we can work something out.
  5. Go back 20 years and 6ft was an average size baitcaster.
  6. Yeah the old Black Max were great reels and it is too bad that they ruined it's good name by putting it on the econo version of the revo.
  7. I'm confused about these because I have a hard time understanding how the micro guides keep the line off the blank. I was playing with one of the Carrots with mirco guides and the line was on the blank almost the whole way up. Could you elaborate for me?
  8. Glad to hear you were taken care of.
  9. Before KVD gets credited for another thing he didn't invent, the rigging he demonstrates for a double fluke rig is the same that has been used for years for flukes and other baits as well. It is demonstrated here on a tackle tour article from two years ago. http://www.tackletour.com/reviewmoormandoublehudd.html
  10. Yeah I'm not a big fan. I personally think they ruined the new Revos by putting that type of handle on it. I've knocked my knuckle a couple of times on the nut cap.
  11. Just to add to what has already been said, I've caught halibut and barracuda on spinner baits, plus a football jig is a great bait for catching Calico Bass on jetties.
  12. Yeah, we all know how Aaron feels about people fishing other peoples' water ;D Cool video.
  13. My Dad for taking me fishing and God for putting the fish there in the first place.
  14. Yeah I was thinking the same thing. It will be interesting to see how those balls affect the action.
  15. Sexy shad is a color, Sassy shads are a plastic shad style plastic bait that comes in a wide range of sizes.
  16. Yes sir. Mainly because the perfect frog walks so much better.
  17. I've used the sworming hornet "shaker" in 1/4 oz and I didn't like it. The blade limited the baits ability to "shake". Never caught anything on it so I took a pair of dikes the blade arm and then it worked better. I still prefer the scrounger though.
  18. I wouldn't mind getting my hands on one of those. Thanks for the heads up!
  19. It's not a magic bait by any means, just a good bait in the right situation that not many people knew about.
  20. I hope that is a well ventilated basement Nice work.
  21. I got a chance to see this and it is pretty darn good. The first DVD made me homesick because they were fishing a bunch of places I used to fish, but the second DVD has some cool interviews along with one from Bill Dance that I really enjoyed. (He even makes fun of Roland Martin on there) Just thought I'd share.
  22. Fo sho. It is just that certain parts of the country get things before others. The whole Scrounger thing was a pretty tight lipped deal until Zona opened his fat mouth last year ;D
  23. I just read the post from the other board. In response to what was said on that board, the heads are the exact same. I held a pack of the 1/4 oz in my hands the other day and they are still made in USA and the word scrounger is still in the same logo as it was on the old packs.
  24. They've made them for almost two years now and I can tell you from experience that they aren't as good. The bills fold back and the hooks aren't as sharp. The head itself does look better but the bait itself is not as good.
  25. Looky there, and it is not even overpriced. Good find T-rig.
