I agree with this 100%. First 110 I ever got was Haricho Reaction, which at first glance is a hideous version of "Clown" but over the years it has been my best producing color from the muddiest gizzard shad filled waters in OK to the clearest silverside filled waters in CA.
The pattern you got will do great!
Those things are great. They cast very far and walk great! I've caught a number of fish on them this year but they are not good around moss. The little blades get clogged up. Through them around some pads or lay downs though and you'll do good.
Love the full size, don't care much for the Jr.
Just work them any time you would a spook or sammy. I think the deep profile of the spittin' image does a better job at matching the hatch when fish are feeding on sunfish or shad.
I'm confused about these because I have a hard time understanding how the micro guides keep the line off the blank. I was playing with one of the Carrots with mirco guides and the line was on the blank almost the whole way up. Could you elaborate for me?
Before KVD gets credited for another thing he didn't invent, the rigging he demonstrates for a double fluke rig is the same that has been used for years for flukes and other baits as well. It is demonstrated here on a tackle tour article from two years ago.

Yeah I'm not a big fan. I personally think they ruined the new Revos by putting that type of handle on it. I've knocked my knuckle a couple of times on the nut cap.
Just to add to what has already been said, I've caught halibut and barracuda on spinner baits, plus a football jig is a great bait for catching Calico Bass on jetties.
