Hey guys so as I'm sure everyone else on here I have way to much tackle to keep in one tacklebox. I am a co angler and I have plastic tub filled with plastics just changed it to this recently so I'm trying to figure out how to get it to the boat and not have to take the whole tub or all my plastics. thanks
hey yall so i fish a small bass club its not very competitive but a good way to get my feet wet in the tournament fishing world. recently i fished a tournament and my boater seemed to be passing up some good spots or not going back to spots that we had previous luck on. seeing as we randomly draw and most of the time its the first time meeting someone how to do you bring up to someone that we should move spots or try a certain area without causing tension? thanks in advance!
hey everyone. now that I'm out of college and working and have more free time I'm going to start fishing tournaments again as a co-angler. its not a big club or anything but i would like to improve my placements and my knowledge on tournament fishing instead of just fishing for the afternoon type deal. Thanks to everyone in advance
usually western lakes are clear so maybe they see you before you think they do. try long casts and maybe some reaction baits so they dont have time to think about it
i would say open your horizons to new baits and also just fish baits you dont normally or fishing bait that you do normally fishing and understand how they act in the water and what they are imitating. it will help you make a better bait choice when you need to "match the hatch" or when you know their primary food source. also perfect you casting your flipping/pitching and also roll casts etc. when i go to make sure that i understand what my lure is acting like under water and that has helped me start to catch more fish
i thought about fishing deep because maybe the water would clear up deeper since the wind wasnt pushing all the silt around.
thank you all again for the help!
there are many factors going into this like water temp and clarity of water. if muddy cold water is being pushed into the creek that is the hardest to catch fish. if you find another area with warm run off or if you find a place with clear water and cover and a place for them to go get to deep water or a place with ambush spots is your best bet without electronics. things to look for are places where a bass could hide and be able to ambush prey close.
