  1. www.muskylink.com great website with a lot of great fishermen. i river fish for muskies regularly...
  2. What would you do to get those lunkers out of a small Lake? Jerkbait, plastics, live? I have had great success with Senkos this time of the year, but wanna try something new without wasting my time. Anyoen have any other suggestions? Thanks!
  3. Nick, I agree with you. Drop shots are an awesome rig. The Kinami worms are a great bait to use on a drop shot rig. Baby Bass and Red are my favorite colors. I have drop shotted before, but recently Mike Norris got be back into it. Very effective rig for deep water.
  4. Most of the waters I fish around home I go for trophies. I will take a 10 pounder any day. Now a 10 pound Smallie, I would catch one of them and go whole month without catching another Bass... I got Muskies in the same river
  5. Just imagine catching the World Record Bass. That would be just, awesome. Not to mention you would have plenty of money to buy all the fishing tackle you want pretty much!
  6. Hey der... What river will you be fishing? On rivers I generally use smaller plastics on 1/16th oz. Jigs. 2" Case Helgies, 3" Gitzit Tubes, 5" Slug-O's, and Plastic Worms anywhere from 5-8" from various companyes like Berkley, Culprit, Renegade, etc - Texas or Carolina Rigged. A Senko Whhhacky Worm style can also be deadly around cover. During the summer you cant go wrong with hard baits. From Spinners, Buzzbaits, Cranks, Jerks, to Topwaters, all can produce big and usually do produce... big Rivers can be very easy to fish, especially if they are shallow. Spots that hold fish are usually very obvious from above the water. My favorite type of fishing going after Smallies
  7. Thanks for the replys in such a short time. I'm open to try new stuff. I'm hoping for the ice to be gone from the lakes and ponds real soon since its not even safe for fishing around my area anymore. I dont mind the ice though
  8. New to this site and looking forward to being a member here. Great site with a lot of content! Anyone have any tips on catching Bass right after ice out? I usually fish a carolina rigged 6 plastic worm and do pretty well. Thanks
