  1. What do you think the lower temps this coming weekend are going to do to the fish down there on LOZ?
  2. And another little tip if you havent already, we put a styrofoam float (the big ones, like they use on the Boga Grips) on the camera just in case we do drop it in the water.
  3. Cold...very cold. But a lot of fun. We (my dad and I) had a blast. All week we were on fish. Just really couldn't get the big ones to bite, a couple 2 1/2 pound spots were the biggest we could find. It seemed if you found the right bank, you'd catch fish all day. Like I said, it was a great time though. Great food provided at the weigh in and a free rod, I'll be back next year!
  4. The Kodak Playsport is a great camera. My dad got one for our tournaments that we fish, and it's great!
  5. Lol..."I'll kick your neck off!!"
  6. Bill Babbler is on the fish man. He caught a 9 pound largemouth the other day on top of everything
  7. I got bored last week, and decided to shoot the manager of the closest Bass Pro an email just stating how much I love the sport and if they're ever hiring in the fishing department, to give me a call. Well one thing lead to another, and they wanted to set up an interview with me. I've got the interview tomorrow, so hopefully all goes well! If I do get hired...those employee discounts are going to kill me
  8. Experience. Here in local tournaments, generally those guys know the water that they are fishing on. And the one that wins usually, finds something completely different than what everyone else is fishing.
  9. Would like to know as well. Going down there the same weekend as the big bass tournament, but will be fishing a small work tourney.
  10. Exactly what Sam said. Over time dams accumulate brush, trees, and other sorts of debris. These pile up under the surface and generally where the dam itself meets the bottom substrate of the actual lake. I find these "gatherings" on my depth finder and tie on a deep diving crank bait and work it as much as possible. Generally if they don't bite the crank bait, I'll throw a jig (usually a 1 oz.) and they usually commit to that. Good luck!
  11. Looks awesome guys! What a great job! I did have a little trouble logging in though, it seams my S/N now has to include an underscore (_) when I log in. Oh well, all solved!
  12. I read on Collegebass.com that you cannot be older than 25 to compete in the regional/big tournaments. Yet, I saw an older guy fishing for a team on tv the other day. Anyone want to fill me in on this as well?
  13. Every so often, I'll throw a float n' fly rig with a 1/32 oz. marabou jig. That's about as small as I get though.
  14. I'm not trying to hijack here, but need some help starting one at my school. Can someone help me out?
  15. I always tried to make sure that I left a good supply of "ABC" worms and other baits on the deck of the boat each time we came in. It kept the questions down to a minimum. They were never close to what we actually used..... But it was another part of the game. I don't play those games either. I don't care if any one see's, or knows what I got tied on. However I am not telling any one where I caught them, and what caught them in that spot. Depending who it is asking, you've got a point. If it's a close friend, then I'll tell him the gist like "Target bluff ends and work em really slow with jigs". If it's someone random, you give em the bare minimum like, "Fish as slow as you can". Although, if this is post tournament, I really don't mind sharing the information, as I like to ask around after an event. Helps figure out what you did wrong, and how you can apply that to a similar situation in the future.
  16. Right, I figured that out. Going into the advanced user mode was the ticket. Thanks again!
  17. I cant seem to figure out how to display the temperature on my unit. Closest thing to temperature is a graph that looked similiar to this 61- - - --------------------------- - - 41- The temp was right at 51 degrees. Can anyone help me out? I'm wanting this:
  18. They had this on our local PBS or some channel like that. My buddy and I could not stop laughing
  19. Their life is boring, so they got say something negative about other stuff. That was negative, is your life boring? Is there something you'd like to express to others here? Just because someone gives an opinion doesn't mean you can sit there and say their life is boring. : I mean clearly we all know RedlineRobert doesn't have a boring life, but he had something negative to say about this song. Give me a break guys, a forum is about opinions and if you don't like one, just click on the next thread that interests you. If someones opinion about a dumb song upsets you guys so much, you might want to see a therapists or someone about that because there's something else going on with you that is clearly troubling you. Oh and this song is by far the stupidest thing I've ever heard. I'd rather listen to someone that sings horribly with decent lyrics than listen to some song that the lyrics don't even make sense. Especially considering how old she is. hahahahahh Nick, you beat me to it. Root Beer and hookem: negative opinions are a part of life. If someones opinion on music is really ticking you off, you need to turn your computer off and spend more time around people..it'll be like that forever
  20. Looks like hookem's her number 1 fan :-*
  21. This made me laugh so hard. I'm so glad I'm not the only one. If I had a dime...
  22. Oh yeah, can't you tell by the video? Those middle school house parties are all the rage. Root beer keg stands and curfews...TOTALLY RAD
  23. Looks like I'm the only one from here going to be there. See ya there Mark!
  24. That has to be one of the most animated posts I have ever seen.
