  1. You can fish them as deep as you want. Usually when I'm fishing weightless plastics, it's in water less than 15 feet.
  2. Totally legal. If there is a hook in the fish's mouth, then don't worry. But if you're bed fishing, and you have no hooks in the mouth, then it's illegal.
  3. OOO I like that But back to the question. Use what your boater is not using, even if he is catching fish like crazy. Lets say he's using a deep diving crankbait. Use a big spinnerbait that you can slow roll. Or if he's using a jig, use a shakey head or a t-rig. You want to be different, yet similar (if that makes sense).
  4. It stands for Double Digit... :
  5. Thats cool looking. But why so much?
  6. Awesome fish man!!! Congrats! Looks like a DD to me.
  7. Welcome!! The boat looks awesome. Kinda reminds me of Mike Iaconelli's boat.
  8. Well if he was catching them on a t-rigged worm, then I would have a rod rigged with just that. Givin the temp, I would also have on a jig, a spinnerbait, and a rattletrap tied on. Hope this helps.
  9. Hmmm...Can't help you, but WELCOME!
  10. I wouldn't recomend this. Your crankbait will chip and it wont bring em in. HAHAHAHAH!!! Your kidding right! Daiwa: If it didn't catch fish, I wouldn't have posted it. Yeah, your crankbait MAY chip, but thats what you get when you go fishing. Also, I reccomend you catching up on your "City Limits" show, becuase this technique is specifically mentioned in it. Also, I had a similair question as kimble a while ago. I e-mailed Tommy Biffle and he suggested this technique. * Woo Daves was on "A Day on the Lake" not too long ago, and this technique was used yet again. OK, I'm done.
  11. I was thinking the same thing!!! Great fish and congrats on a new PB!
  12. For the first question: No. For the second question: No. It's usually cheap for a reason.
  13. Welcome! If your boater is fishing fast, go with a fast lure. Since he was fishing docks, I would be fishing a spinnerbait, crankbait, or a jig (which everone he WASN'T using).
  14. HAHA! I thought I was the only one.
  15. Welcome! My favorite technique to use on rivers is simple. Just find a bridge and throw a crankbait at the bridge pilings. Make the crankbait crash into the pilings and hold on!
  16. Couldn't say enough good stuff about Iaconelli. He is a great guy and is always willing to help you out with anything. I love it when he just stares at the camera and gives that look like nothing happened.
  17. Rattle traps!!! Throw it out, and when it hits the tips of the weeds (hydrilla) just rip it out.
  18. That is a nice fish!
  19. Nice smallies! I hope the smallies in my lake get that big.
  20. Get home safe and enjoy your time back at home.
  21. I'm going to agree with you when you say it's going to be a big fish in a few years. Great fish tho.
  22. Well my vote is both. You could say I fish with/without a buddy
  23. Good fish man! Sounds like you had a great day. I wish the topwater bite would turn on here :.
