  1. How I would demolish this meal on Thanksgiving...with a lot of help. http://www.todaysbigthing.com/2010/11/23
  2. Thats what keeps you coming back for more!
  3. Redline for the WIN!
  4. Thank you fourbizz. There is no better way to put this and for that, I quote it. I would also like to say, that even if they are not visiting our planet (like you say), that doesnt dismiss the fact that they're out there. How many planets have humans ventured out besides our own? And how many planets are in the universe?
  5. Best way to but it...
  6. Well we talked about it. He knows the basics, but has never actually fished in the bay...just wanted to see if anyone else had.
  7. But then I'll have to get a custom made hockey stick putter. Speaking of Happy Gilmore, my cousin and I were thinking, how often do you think Happy Gilmore jokes are made at the golf course? I'm sure everyone that works there are probably thinking, "Yeah, real original pal".
  8. Thanks for the advise, I may be doing a scramble here in a few weeks. here at school. I hear my putting game is pretty darn good, but we'll see. Anyone selling a set of Nike Slingshot's? I've been borrowing them for a few days and love them, but need to get myself a set. My advice...is get out now while you are ahead. Used to play alot, then realized that fishing was much more fun, tourney or not. i do have a set of slingshots I may not lose sleep over. Believe it or not, I've heard this from a lot more people than I thought. With that being said, I can honestly say that this wont die out on me. If you plan on selling them in the near future, PLEASE shoot me a pm!
  9. Clubs?? Yard sales, yard sales, yard sales. Specifically, go to nicer neighborhoods where you're prone to find golfers living. I picked up a Taylor Made 360ti driver in excellent shape for $5 a few weeks ago. Craigslist is another place to look. Before you go any further invest in lessons. The golf swing is absolutely what the game is about and getting good swing habits started early will really help your game along as well as making it more enjoyable. Also understand that while crushing a long drive is nice, it's the short game and your proficiency at it, that really helps shave the strokes off the final score. That and putting. You don't have to always play full sized golf courses to sharpen that part of your game. Try playing some par 3 courses, the St Louis area has several. Yes, the game is addictive. I've literally given up fishing the past year and taken the game up again. I used to be pretty good, an 8 handicapper at one time. That was 25 years ago. I really love the swing mechanics of the game and understanding that part. I will say that the 25 years of aging has made the game a little more challenging than it was. If I had some of this equipment back then, especially the drivers, I'd have been crushing 300+ yd drives all the time. Enjoy. That's what I've been trying to do around here at school, but have only found a set of crappy Rams. I've played with Rams before and just didnt like them. Where at in St. Louis do you go to these garage sales?!?! Sounds like you got a steal!!
  10. Thank you sir! I was on it in 08-09, but due to being away at school, I took a break this year.
  11. Pretty simple here; Spro Poppin Bronzeye
  12. Something I do plan on doing maybe next summer when school isnt so demanding. I did actually take 2 summers of golf lessons when I was 11 and 12, but it was just basic swinging instructions on the driving range, and that'as about as far as I took it. I wish I would have realized how much I liked it a lot sooner. ;D

  14. Glad to hear I'm not the only one. It's funny how it works; I golf my first 18 and I'm hooked. AND I just bought a decent driver on ebay. HISTORY IN THE MAKING! haha
  15. Why am I recently infatuated with golf? I went out with my dad and my cousin that had come in town for one of my first 18 the other weekend. Although right now I suck, I have been spending my money up at the local golf course fine tuning my drives and getting some green time. This is going to be one expensive haul and on top of that all I have is 2 crappy clubs.. oh boy
  16. Well, I may be headed to the west coast for the first time. My cousin lives across the bay from Seattle and was recently in town. He said that the salmon run is coming up soon, but the only time I'll be able to go up there is Dec. 3rd. Will that be too late to fish up there? If not, what do you guys reccomend when it comes fishinng for salmon? Thanks guys
  17. Speaking of which, I still play SOCOM on PS2 all the time.
  18. Well at least you know when you're working it the right speed!
  19. Especially firing it into the boat :-/
  20. I have a few in bluegill. It's my personal favorite. If that's what they're feeding on, then you should be golden! Just like everything else...
  21. I've got a few. They're great baits and have a great action when worked correctly. I have had best luck slowly waking it across the surface at dawn/dusk. The bass just swirl on it and it's gone! Another plus about this bait is when it sinks down to the bottom, it stands on its trebles like a sitting bluegill. I take advantage of this by using it on beds. It just...sits there. And the bass cant handle it!
  22. My all time favorite is a 4" GYCB cut tail in red. It's probably one of my biggest producers for the simple fact that it works wonders in any water clarity; especially clear water.
  23. No better way to put it. +10 grim
  24. When it comes to night fishing, if I'm fishing any kind of bait that is representing a type of "fish-forage" (shad, bluegill, etc.), I find no need to change colors from what I would use during the day. Think about it: if you're catching fish on a shad colored crank during the day, why change to a darker colored crank for night? The shad that live in the lake don't change color, yet the bass seem to be feeding on those fish. I personally it's a vibration thing.
