  1. Pedal drive and Rudder system installed. I will get out this weekend to try it out. Only 36 day until National championship.
  2. A lot of good stuff already said in this post. But I’ll add my 2 cents. Your electronics are just a tool. You have to understand their capability and use. Then use your other knowledge about season patterns, water clarity, how fish relate to cover and structure to efficiently break down a body of water. The knowledge gives you a starting spots to begin. Your electronics allows you to see the spots within the spots. You’ll see exactly where the brush, or rock pile is. Where the break on the edge of a flat is. You can even see fish set up on the ambush points. Use all of your available tools.
  3. Wildcat Creek Outfitters does demo days. They will be at the Boat Sport and Travel show so you can see the different brands and models they carry. While there you could ask them about demo days. The brands they carry are Wilderness Systems, Jackson, Nucanoe, and Feel Free. I personally fish out of a Wilderness Systems Radar 135. I’m getting the pedal drive within the next two weeks so I have installed installed before Nationals next month.
  4. I carry the Terminal Coffin with me on the kayak. It is well organized, keeps my painted tungsten separated from each other. Quick and easy to grab what I need when I am on the water.
  5. I am an engineer and manage a team of engineers but none of us have our PE. Sorry I can’t offer any help with that.
  6. I will definitely be prefishing for the the tournaments but working through what all I can do before I get there.
  7. What are some of your go to sources of information when you are prepping for a tournament? Obviously Navionics for reviewing the water structure, but what else?
  8. I know I’m not quite too that level, but you can come see me at the Fish Expo in Franklin at the Pro Tungsten booth.
  9. Yes through the Sony store
  10. Last winter to pass the time I got a PS4. Play Battlefield 1. Just last week at the recommendation of one of the BR threads I downloaded fishing planet.
  11. Yep, as a former Triathlete I would swim 1.5 hour to 2 hours 3-4 days. Week. This is treading water. https://www.google.com/amp/s/m.wikihow.com/Tread-Water%3famp=1
  12. I’ve started to see a couple of my fishing buddies posting up very successful fishing the past couple days. One guy and his dad caught 65 in 3 hours!
  13. I fish out of a kayak and bought the Columbia rain jacket and pants. The jacket works well in the warmer months at keeping the water away without being to hot. The pants are easy to put on and take off if needed while in the kayak. i wear an auto inflate PFD and I wear mine outside the jacket.
  14. Dip them in Tabasco
  15. You are very welcome. Being that you are from IL and I’m from IN I choose some of the items and colors I have had really good success with. Merry Fishmas!
  16. Got out yesterday on the kayak. 55 degree in December I couldn’t turn it down. Last time on the water this year. Water was 40-42.
  17. I’m March I’m fishing Kayak Bass Fishing National Championship on Kentucky Lake out of a kayak. 13.5 ft x 35 inches human powered. Did the same thing year at the KBS Classic on Guntersville. You need to understand the limitations of your equipment and your boat will be just fine.
  18. Second box showed up today Thanks again!
  19. Was this the original casting reel?
  20. Been researching and can’t find the answer. Were original baitcasters designed to be mounted under the rod like a spinning reel? And where the crank handle on the left or right side?
  21. Thank you, these are definitely baits I use and have success with.
  22. I’ll get this started cause I’m like a little kids when new fishing stuff arrives and I had to open right away. If someone would like to let me know who sent this I will thank them.
  23. We have been married 2.5 years. I don’t have to hide anything from her she is supportive of my fishing.
  24. Well yesterday was a bust. Every place we looked was frozen over. Really surprise because it didn’t seem like it had been that cold down here in the southern part of the state.
  25. Fishing a private lake with a friend in the morning on our kayaks. He says it doesn’t get fished much so hoping to get on a bunch.
