  1. I can definitely agree to that. I've seen some giants in February at places like Murray, DVL, and Mission Viejo(RIP) in like 8 foot+. I've also observed big girls are also rarely on their bed/bed locked and tend to watch from even deeper, safer water. If you bug the male enough they cruise up but they don't stay exposed for long.
  2. 4" reins bubbling shaker or 6" roboworm
  3. My Favorite is the giant dog x but the spook jr is good too. Also like little poppers like the pop x, pop max, and rebel pop-r.. I mostly ever fish lakes with small bait like silversides, threadfin, small panfish so the small topwaters are the right size and I think the really clear water bass just like the smaller profiles. For color I've always done best with a white bottom my favorites are bone, threadfin or just a shad color, and baby bass.
  4. Green pumpkin is my favorite color followed by green pumpkin black flake.. I really don't like any of the green pumpkin sparkle stuff with worms, craws, and creatures
  5. Depending on where I fish it's mostly pond scum, rock and wood or millfoil/fanwort/hydrilla not the best on my veggie types
  6. I'd imagine it's a follow the money type deal. Guys do use glide baits, random chopper topwaters etc. but if they're not sponsored by them you you'll probably mostly hear about the Zman, Strike King, etc. lures they used instead.
  7. 4" Reins bubbling shaker 2.8" reins fat swing impact TRD Missile Baits D bomb 6" Roboworm
  8. I pretty much only fish finesse worms(or 10"+). Robo works well texas rigged or drop shotted. For the standard 6" worm I normally do a 3/16oz bullet weight and a 2/0 rebarb or ewg.
  9. haha thank you appreciate it!
  10. Got a decent one for the after work special. 3” swing impact does it again.
  11. Yeah got the baby bass and bass candy cause why not? They look cool haha. Silver flash minnow and Tennessee Shad are big confidence colors for me but they all work lol
  12. I personally don't think it gives an unfair advantage. However, back to golf, I think it will happen after a person like Sam Snead who got the straddle putt banned in golf is exceptionally good at using it and starts winning a disproportionate amount of events. If no one person starts dominating in a big way I doubt it will get banned.
  13. Does your opinion change knowing drivers and golf equipment are restricted? The technology is there to increase distance, spin, etc. but the rules of golf prohibit it, same for some different types of shots like putting. This is almost more akin to the recent equipment controversy with the long putters and anchoring to the body that everyone could do but they banned it.
  14. As a recreational angler I really don't give two squirts. In a tournament setting there's already plenty of things that affect the 'purity' of the sport or whatever you want to call it. Unless they're going to go the stock route and have every angler fish the same boat with the same preset rigs I say let them do whatever they want.
  15. The chartreuse and other colors sometimes don't play nice. I always keep all my keitech stuff in its original packaging
  16. It's small keitech season for me and needed to reload a little bit
  17. I use the Orvis guide sling the most but if you need more space I used to use the Shimano Blackmoon but it got stolen one day and I never felt like replacing it. The Orvis is way nicer to use and keep on, the Shimano was great for storage but I couldnt really fish with it on
  18. Not anything too exciting for me. Although I did move to Texas caught my first guadalupe bass, haven't gotten any of size yet but been having fun catching them on flies in the creeks.
  19. There's 20 independent shops that walk circles around BPS lame saltwater selection. Might be okay to buy electronics or something but I would never step foot in one if I was series about inshore/offshore fishing. It'll be the orange county store to buy camo and novelty items around the holidays since Turners sells more gear than clothing.
  20. Which coves have northern exposure? Trees or elevation can block wind that would otherwise beat down on the water. Sometimes you just have to go take a look and see for yourself.
  21. My real answer would be a World Record Calico Bass or Spotted Bay Bass but since they're not on the list I suppose I could settle for a WR Largemouth that wouldn't suck to have under my belt. I'd choose LMB mostly because that's all that's been available to me for most my life and it would certainly garner the most attention.

  23. They aren't commercially fished but they are commercially farmed.. I can go drive to the Asian market right now and buy live LMB from their tank
  24. Difference for me is I don't catch anything on a shakeyhead and get em on the Neko. I especially like the neko for small ponds using little 4.5" worms and a really light nail its just really enticing. Shakeyheads don't come light enough for what the neko can do in shallow water from shore.
