They are extremely thoughtfully crafted imo, much more so than the knockoffs or other brands. That's why I like Japanese product, they have a much more thoughtful and artful approach to everything they do. The baits have a channel on the bottom and top for EWG hooks and little spots for nail weights. The scent is strong and packaging is great, there's a lot to like about them. The body stays mostly still while the tail kicks even when being move slowly. Now none of that would matter if they didn't get bit, but they do they get bit really well. Keitech has quickly become my favorite new company that I've tried in the past 1+ year. The Crazy Flapper, Mad Wag and Live Impact are also really killer baits that don't get much attention.

I got a Damiki buzzbait that does the same thing, I've messed around with the wire and blade a bit and can't get it to run straight for the life of me.

The jerkbaits I've done best on so far have been the LC65SP, Megabass 110 and 110jr. The 65 has been the best but sometimes it's too windy or I need to get it out farther and I upsize to do that. Unless the bass I've seen are guarding fry/spawning I haven't caught one I've been able to see, they've nosed it or moved up to look closer but nothing like strikes from the unseen fish. I don't know what it is but the fish that make themselves visible aren't usually in the mood to hit the lures.

I got the Team Lews Pro Magnesium, a Megabass 110 and 110jr, a couple LC Pointer 65SP, then a bunch of misc plastics/tungsten/hooks. Seems like my spending habit is eclipsing $75/week. Gonna have to get more stuff soon too, I'm not very good at practicing restraint.

The pond I fish most often has a creek running into it lined with reeds. Flipping the creek with a t-rigged craw has worked really well or working moving lures just outside the reeds. Probably can't go wrong with a drop shot in the main body of the pond.

I use the RP/Modified Albright/Alberto knot, works really well. There are a lot of options, they all work decently well depending what you like.

I pretty much always try a new lure after I didn't catch anything or I wasn't able to work a certain piece of water as effectively as I wanted with what I had. After the days over, I'll sit and think about what I saw/experienced and I'll find the lure that I think will do better. I go back and try it out. I don't want to use a new lure when it's hot. 1. I'm not putting down what works to try something new 2. I can't tell if it was the lure or the bite, other lures were working so it's probably the bite. I feel like I can best evaluate the lure when it's tougher and it takes something more precise to get a bite. Either way though, if it catches fish it's a winner in my book.
