  1. From Justice Robert Jackson (Chief of Counsel for the U.S. at the Nuremburg Trials) in his opening statement to the court. November 21, 1945 "May it please your honors, The privilege of opening the first trial in history for the crimes against the peace of the world imposes a grave responsibility. The wrongs which we seek to condemn and punish have been so calculated, so malignant, and so devastating that civilization cannot tolerate their being ignored because it cannot survive their being repeated. That four great nations, flushed with victory and stung with injury stay the hand of vengeance and voluntarily submit their captive enemies to the judgement of the law is one of the most significant tributes that Power has ever paid to Reason." these are some of the most powerful and eloquent words i have ever heard. thought i might share them.

  3. yes, this is a pleasure to read about. the card looks good, and free MMA is always nice to see. War Hendo.
  4. just saw this. no motive given, but arrests made. http://www.wltx.com/sports/story.aspx?storyid=51571
  5. can be any or all of the above. i generally focus on the line between the water and my rod tip. i feel the tap, then i look for the line to "change direction". if it begins to move in a manner that suggests free will, set the hook!
  6. Jeff Gordon. the little sucker can drive!
  7. we love this site so much that we are willing to put up with almost anything! don't sweat the small stuff.
  8. LBH, i love the idea of rubber mats. they sell them like puzzle pieces. that is a great idea.
  9. i have one that is a similar body style that i am trying to restore. but my lack of knowledge is making me him-and-haw (procrastinate for you that don't speak redneck) about getting it done. can be an intimidating task for those with little know how. good luck with yours and i hope you will keep us posted on your results.
  10. recently have had some success with large ribbon tails. i am looking for watermelon seed and black w/blue tail. does anyone make them? if so, would you be willing to fill an order, say 25 pieces of each? what would you charge? look forward to hearing from you.
  11. yes, hughes beat carlos newton for the welterweight title in that fight. to hughes' credit, he did not "act" out of it as blatantly as maynard did in the previous posted fight clip.
  12. Can't agree with you on that one. If your unconscious how can you "tap out"? Also if your so dumb as to knock yourself out the only thing you should win is the gold medal for dummy you misunderstand...the guy who was the victim of the slam (slammee) remained conscious and tapped out after hitting the ground due to a rib injury. the guy who picked him up and slammed him (slammer) was the one who was technically KO'd. the reason i think the tap should take precedence in this case is that it was a conscious decision on the slammee's part to quit fighting. the ref did not know the other guy was out until a minute or so afterwards.
  13. They actually declared this a "no-contest". the guy who got slammed clearly tapped, but because the other guy was virtually unconcious, they did not give him the win. i think if you tap/submit, you lose and the other guy wins, regardless of his condition, but that's just me.
  14. Matt, the blood is real. they cut themselves...and you are right about not all the cuts being in the hairline...it is just the target they shoot for. many times, in the heat of the moment, they miss and hit the forehead. i had a friend of mine who got excited and sliced his forehead almost temple to temple.
  15. Not ALL wrestling is fake. Professional Wrestling is fake. Amatuer (high school, college, freestyle, Olympics) is ALL REAL. i know this because i have wrestled in high school and college, coached high school wrestling, and participated in Professional Wrestling for 10 years (1985-1995) and did several T.V. tapings for the WWF( now WWE). don't worry, i wasn't the "star", just the jobber who made the star look like a million bucks in three minutes. all of that aside, i don't believe steroids caused this, because he deliberately over a three day period killed his family and himself. Roid Rage is associated with a lack of self control, not deliberate premeditated behavior as this seems to be. Also, Redneck, the blood IS definately real. The cuts are made at the scalp line, where the hair begins so that they are easily covered up. they are just nicks, but head wounds bleed profusely. remember, it is the job of these men to DECEIVE the masses. and they are GREAT at it.
  16. i wonder who i will pull for this year? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, <-- <-- <-- <-- GO *****!
  17. claims like this need to have a source. can you tell us where you got your info?
  18. Amen brother.
  19. Chris Benoit was a coward who strangled his wife and smothered his son. i have zero respect for him and if it's true that they had a "Tribute" to him, then i don't have respect for the WWE anymore either. There is NO excuse for killing a child and i cannot fathom, condone, excuse or respect the actions of this monster. yes, i am ticked.
  20. and one more for good measure...
  21. and since i have no clue as to how to add multiple pics to a post...here is another
  22. we have 5 box turtles, 6 adult cats, 8 kittens (down from 13, anybody want one?), and two dogs. here they are in no particular order.
  23. i am a line watcher also...i feel about 75% of the strikes, but i always check the line to see if movement indicates the bite wasn't just me in close contact with a stump or other obstacle.
  24. i feel very confident with using soft plastic lures. not so much w/cranks or spinners and other stuff. soft plastic is where its at for me.
