  1. I would say bluegill too. If they are tapping it really really fast and usually more than 2 times, it's more than likely not a bass. To set the hook, just take the slack out, and pull 12 o clock fast. Once you feel the 1st tap, pull straight up.
  2. Fish here anyways are deeper too. Maybe it's that? I have been getting skunked right now too...from the shore anyways.
  3. That is a nice fish. Looks like a nice pond too.
  4. Golf courses always seem to hold some hawgs in their waters. My brother caught a NICE fish the other day in one. Nice fish man. They are pretty good sized for sure.
  5. If he/she is moving pretty fast, they aren't catching them all I would ask them to slow down and then I would throw a worm and work it slow to the boat.
  6. lol!!!! I see a seinfeld fan too, cool.
  7. Welcome. I sure wish I could drive around all day and find secret holes. Plus if they say no you can't fish it, you can make sure their package(s) show up a little later. Just kidding of course.
  8. with swim baits I SLOWLY sweep the pull. Worms (all plastics) I take the slack up and yank!
  9. I need to use more jigs.
  10. I am CPR too. I don't see a problem with it at all, if the lake you're taking them from, has alot of bass.
  11. Yum fan here as well...
  12. When the first pull happens, reel in the slack pretty fast and pull high noon quick and hard!
  13. Mac, very cool. I fish wagner area alot. I would love to find some ponds or 'unknown' holes.
  14. What no dinner first? shheesh lol
  15. Thanks for the replies so far folks. Plastic molds, but I have some ideas for hardbaits as well. Rich I will email you sometime tomorrow. Please keep the posts coming. I am also designing new color patterns/looks so I am still coloring my design etc.
  16. I am seriously looking for a mold maker contact. I have invented a lure that I haven't seen ever, and would like a prototype made for folks to try out. How does one go about pitching an idea to say berkley, strike king etc? Should I email the companies, or do they frown down upon unsolicited lure design? This is a seriously different lure and combines a couple of things...can't say anymore really in case someone opts to buy the design/manufacture it. P.M.'s are welcomed if anyone is really interested in this.
  17. Glad to know she's better.
  18. Raul I mean this in the nicest way, I hate you. lol (Just kidding) WOW, what a pig!
  19. Yeah I figured you would that's why I thought I was hooking them wrong. Like I said I don't fish much live bait
  20. I go through the head. I guess I am fishing them wrong?
  21. I have a lot of tackle too, and it will only grow in size lol. When I go fishing I take two tackle bags. One is a soft tackle bag that holds 4 lure plastic boxes, my scale, disp. camera, stringer, etc etc. The other one for now is a hard plano box that is solely worms/shads/senko packs and my line. When my free ugly stick soft bag comes in, I am going to move all plastics to that soft bag, so I am only carrying two soft bags...alot lighter for long walks. (I like to get off in holes or walk 'off the beaten path' so to speak)
  22. Mac I will travel the state if you want to show me some good private lakes/ponds I am in Tulsa, and strictly C.P.R.
  23. I think he was talking about this site you can pay for, and they have bass with trackers on them, and they study major lakes etc. I can't for the life of me, remember the name of the site.
  24. My rules would have to be, (since I have caught your fish by your rules), anything over 8lb's with only plastics (NOT spinnerbaits, crankbaits, worms and senkos plastics), just normal line as well, and from the shore. If I had a boat the last rule would not apply to my rules, but to catch a hawg like that from the shore is something....in my eyes anyways.
