What's going on Pond Hoppers! Anyone been out lately? I know the weather has not been the best. I wasn't able to get out on the water with the warm spell this past weekend. Also, what are some of your guy's favorite winter lures?

I've been slacking lately hitting the water. I shall be back out there soon. I did check out Mayor Lake and Chickasaw at Shelby Farms a while back. Spotted a few bass in both but Chickasaw is a huge body of water to take on, on feet. @WDE which lake is your favorite at Shelby Farms? Looking to catch some nice bass and bream.

Anybody hitting the water soon? I am thinking to get out tomorrow afternoon before the storm comes.

Found my way to WC Johnson Park! Prettiest park I've here in Memphis. And not bad for my first time out. Saw something swarm the bank about 2-3 times. Through everything in the book until I decided to throw a worm. Nice 2.5 lb chunk. Picture too big to upload

Hey Guys! I hope everyone has gotten out of their winter funk and catching our green friends! My most recent trip was to Halle Park last Saturday. Caught 2 one pounders on the Summer Craw. Wishing to catch one of the monsters out deep. Any suggestions? (Would love to hop in a kayak) Haven't any luck at Grove nor Neshoba. A little luck throwing out at my apt but nothing but dinks. Any old/new places heating up? Ex: Daycare Pond or Lowe's Pond? Also, Johnson Road Park & Johnson Fountains - Are these 2 different places??? The pictures from WDE does not look like Johnson Road Park. @WDE Lately, I have had luck throwing the Rage Tail - Summer Craw color texas-rigged. Since last year, I caught my PB bass on a chatterbait and I always start off with it. Hoping to top my PB soon!

How was your trip to the Cordova Country Club? Is the Memphis Foot Golf group still there? I have not been there since the fall. I usually park in the parking lot and walk around to all the ponds. The first pond supposedly has the biggest ones. They love top water and a soft plastic lizard for sure!

How's it going guys! Looking to take over the waters again soon. I've had some luck lately. Caught my PB earlier back in March but my phone won't let me upload it. Around 6 lbs from a white chatterbait. Been doing pretty good lately. I finally purchased my first baitcast to my arsenal. The game is about to change! Texas rigs and topwater have been working for me. Just 30 min ago, I lost my new favorite lure to a tree ?. Getting back out first evening tomorrow! Anybody getting out evening time tomorrow or Thursday before the rain comes? Hopefully the rain will pass.

Anyone getting out on the water this weekend?? I checked out Nashoba and Lowe's last weekend. Nothing much was happening. Thinking to test the waters some with senkos and lipless cranks! Can't wait for Topwater!

Finally just back on the water for about a month and a half drought. Caught a 2 lber on topwater Monday and two smaller ones on Tuesday. Simple pops medium and fast retrieve. Monday, about 30 minutes after catching my 2 lber, missed my biggest bass ever! She jumped about 3 times, belly wouldn't even come out of the water. Got her to the bank and she spit my lure right at feet and swam off. I will be throwing topwater all I can these next two weeks because Daylight Savings is coming! My tactics as of now will be topwater (popper/torpedo style lure) and maybe a shallow crank soon. Planning to hit the water tonight and tomorrow! @WDE Is Johnson you mention, Johnson Park in Collierville? I haven't been there in a while.

Is there a tip on any specific place that the bass hold? I've been around several times but haven't had too much luck. Missed like a 2 lber when they were spawning in the shallow part in the back. Looking to get out there soon! Topwater should be lighting up!

Good Morning Guys, This past weekend I had a chance to check out some of the famous spots. Friday, at Chickfila I caught a nice pounder on a creature bait, only bite of the day. Saturday I checked out Daycare Pond and the pond behind LifeTime Fitness in Collierville. However, no catches on that day. However, I did get one hit on a buzz bait at Daycare. The water was too perfect not to try lol. Sunday turned out to be my best day. Checked out Shelby Farms right off Trinity road. Caught 3 bass and a crappie. Not bad for my first time out there. Keep casting guys!
