  1. Rebel popR's are a must in my tackle box. So easy to fish and they produce big fish. And they are a blast!
  2. Duckett ghost 7'3" mh great rod for $100. Haven't had any problems with mine and I fish it hard!
  3. Never had a problem with Palomar knots. Use it for just about everything
  4. I love my lews speed spool lfs for $100
  5. I use cxx also and I like it so far. Just started using it this year
  6. I really like my duckett ghosts for $100 and the blackout is a great rod for $80
  7. Poppers are my favorite topwater. I caught my 2 biggest fish of the night in our tournament last week on one a 4.52 pounder and a 4.37
  8. I only use 5'6" ultralights for panfish. Makes it so much fun on 2 or 4 pound test line. Feels like you have a 6 pound bass on!
  9. Haha. I dont have any daiwa's. I'm a huge fan of lews. I love their reels. Never tried there rods though
  10. It's a really awesome fishing store. We are pretty lucky here in kalamazoo! And I will check that rod out for sure! I know a lot of it is personal preference on feel and balance and what not. So getting them in my hands will help a lot
  11. Yeah I can go to d&r sportscenter it's about 15 min away. It's owned by the Vandam's they have a ton of rods
  12. I've been wanting to try the blackout. I haven't had any problems with my ghost and it's probably my most used rod.
  13. Now another question. If I go with the baitcaster I'm staying around 100 for a budget. So I was thinking either a ghost or the blackout. I have a MH ghost and i love it. but I've heard nothing but good things about the blackout. What do you think?
  14. I will end up with both eventually ha. Just curious if you guys thought one was more important than the other
  15. I would love to buy both. But the boss lady won't let me. And I have been dropshoting with my medium fast spinning rod and has seemed to work fine. My buddy just suggested a medium lite
  16. Hey guys. I'm trying to decide whether to get a new medium power baitcaster for cranks and topwater and what not or get a medium lite spinning rod for dropshots. I have 6 other rods 3 baitcasters and 3 spinning but not in those powers. And I just wanted opinions on what you guys thought was more important to add to the arsenal. Thanks!
  17. Finally did well in a tournament last night. Caught just under 13 pounds with two fish over 4 pounds! Fish good night of the year! Hopefully more to come!
  18. Yeah it does have some steep drops and yeah you can either launch at the county park there or take the long trail from the state game area to the little makeshift launch
  19. I catch more pike out there than anything lol. Gourdneck and sugarloaf are the two lakes I seem to do best on in the area. Caught my pb of 5.62 on gourdneck last year
  20. Long lake is tough enough to fish anyways hah. I always struggle there
  21. Started tournaments this past week. Caught 40+ fish not one of em were keepers. Funny part was all we caught prefishing were keepers. Nothing of major size yet. Still searching for my "lunker" of the year!
  22. Boats in the shop right now for repairs broke down on me this past weekend so if anyone near the kzoo area needs a fishing partner let me know haha
  23. I'm for the Starcraft. I have a starcaster bass boat made by Starcraft and I love it. It's a 96 and still in great shape. It also has a merc 40 on it and it runs awesome and moves the boat along great. So my votes for the Starcraft.
  24. I'm really struggling to get even a bite right now. I've never had this much trouble catching fish. I've tried everything from spinnerbaits, cranks, senkos, Texas rigged rage craws, Ned rig, and several other things. I'm seeing tons of fish just can't get them to bite. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
