  1. I can't seem to find anywhere local that even sells these so it will be an online order. The lure has the same removable fish finder console... The leg room worries me because I just don't understand how the lure is only 44" that seems tiny for a 13.5 yak.
  2. Ok so buying a new kayak but currently stuck on which one! I have 2 kayaks that I have come down to and now need help deciding which one. Im stuck on either the feelfree lure 13.5 or the ATAK 140. also I'm 6'2" and about 190lb I noticed the lure is 44" legroom and the atak is 60" will that make a huge difference. The lure is 36" wide and the ATAK is 34" please help! Opinions, thoughts, experience.
  3. I have a trolling motor on my current boat. Can you still drive up a trailer with just that? I usually fish electric only lakes... I have a 6hp that I know I could do that with but never thought about doing it with a TM.
  4. Yea I hear ya! But I really don't want to deal with a trailer for now. I want to be able to throw a boat in my truck bed and just go. I would add transom wheels to the Jon boat for easier rolling to and from the lake and that weight distribution should technically make the boat weigh half its original weight.
  5. I use the rapala 50lb digital scale no hook it uses a lip grip/clamp thing.
  6. I mainly fish lowland lakes electric motors only... Here are my two fishing vessels. They serve me very well and get the job done!
  7. I live in Washington also, I completely understand the cold water you're talking about can't wait for April/May to come! I usually drop shot in the cold water, as well as lipless crankbait and jerkbaits. I actually caught my personal best 7lb LMB last week water temps were about 45-47 and it was right after that nasty high wind/rain storm we had. I used a simple weighted wacky rig setup. No matter what I throw in the cold water I always have long pauses in between reeling. They mainly reaction strike I've noticed. I just started fishing July 2015 as well! Guess we both got bit by the fishing bug!
  8. Thanks all! Glad to be here! ?
  9. Just wanted to formally introduce myself! I'm Shane and currently live near Seattle,WA! I started fishing July 2015 and have been hooked! I create YouTube content as well, creating fishing videos and diy ideas! Glad to be apart of this forum finally since I've been reading non stop from this forum over the last few months!
  10. My goals!! ? Really nice boat man! Congrats! Hope it brings you much joy and great fishing! ?
  11. Ok I'm so I'm currently in a dilemma. I am looking for a new ride! I had a 10' fiberglass v-hull boat that converted to a mini bass boat with casting deck and seat but, I hate using the trailer and pulling the boat from the lake up onto the trailer knee deep in water. So I'm trying to avoid a trailer by all means, I have a 2013 f150 fx4 extended cab. So my question is for fishing by myself and loading and unloading convenience do I get a Jon boat, mini plastic bass boat like the sportsman of a 12' kayak? For Jon boats I'm considering 1032 tracker, 1036, 1232, 1236, I would add those launch wheels that fold so I can just roll it in and out of the water and put the front on tailgate of the truck and transom end on the wheels and push it in the truck bed for loading/unloading. The plastic mini bass boats seem to be heavy if not heavier than even the 1236 Jon boat but they are wider and more stable it seems but, I've read soooooo many posts that the middle fills up with water and if it cracks you basically have no way of patching? 3rd option a kayak, I have a 10' kayak right now but it's way to small for me plus moving around in it is awkward. I really like the hobies since they use pedal power and keeps my hands free but those are in the 2800$+ range. I would consider a 12' kayak with a 32-34" width for standing. so what would you guys do? I have about 1,000$ saved right now and can't decide. I mainly fish small lakes 30-100acres but wouldn't mind maybe 1-2times a year hitting up a giant lake where the gas powered boats go but, mainly the small lakes, also like I mentioned I mainly fish alone. They all have pros and cons. Also another question are the tracker 1032 really the same width as a kayak with a 32" width? That seems kinda hard to imagine but it's what the specs say. well thanks in advance to anyone and everyone that reads this and responds. ?
  12. Brand new to this forum but I just caught a 7lb largemouth last week (my personal best) from my kayak in western Washington.
