  1. If you have access to a slip for a couple days just launch it and park it at the slip till you get it painted. If not you can do it like I did. I just left the boat on it and masked off the boat. I then sprayed everything with rustoleum and removed the masking.
  2. Awesome thanks for the help. Here is mine its a 1648 Tracker Grizzly. It may not be the nicest one on here but it fullfills the many roles I ask of it and its brand new and all mine. LOL.

  4. I love this boat. What brand and size is it. I just upgraded my hull this year to a 1648 Grizzly and love it. I havent carpeted it yet because I may go with hydro turf but i love the simple lay out of the boat. I am also thinking about upgrading to the terrova with iPilot. I want the spotlock features and stuff the ipilot comes with but i like the better control capabilities that come from the cable drive i have now. How do you like that terrova? If i could figure out how to make my pictures under .15mb then i would post pics of mine.
  5. Awesome thanks for the help guys. This one is a first for me.
  6. So I was out bass fishing with my son this afternoon and caught this sucker. I caught him in about 7-9 fow with a finesse worm on a shakey head jig. He looks like a small mouth but had a very yellow belly and very distict orange/reddish color fins. It wasnt like bloody fins like you typically see in spawning fish it was a bright orange.
  7. I would also look at a 1448 or 1648 jon boat. The folks over at tinboats.net can help you to build it into a nice little bass rig that is light weight and set up to your specific needs. Personally for me i use a 1648 all welded boat. I keep mine very simple as far as layout and prefer having the motor set up for tiller but I use my boat for fishing and hunting. Just make sure you get a boat big enough and wide enough to have a decent size front deck to stand on which is important for bass fishing.
  8. I usually take them out crappie fishing first because they are usually easier to catch quite a few with very little skill involved. Then work then up to bass fishing. Now my two oldest sons 10 and 12 can fully operate the boat and are great bad fisherman. My five year old on the other hand... I bring two minnow buckets full of water. He moves them from one bucket to the other and then back again and loves it lol.
  9. Hey all! I used to be a member some time ago but have since changed emails so I'm starting all over. I've been bass fishing my whole life with most of it in the middle Tennessee area. I also do a little crappie fishing to fill the freezer and occasionally take my two oldest sons out to let them jug for catfish. Mostly I just love being out on the water. I fish out of a nothing fancy tracker grizzly that I love and fills the many roles I require out of it nicely.
