  1. How often do you oil your reel bearings? I know this a broad question and how much use of the reel. I go out about 2x a week and fish for a few hours.
  2. Took my brothernlaw fishing where I go at and he caught his PB. Maybe 5lbs? But anyways, he was really happy. Caught it on a chatterbait.
  3. I agree. I had a Avail handle on my Antares and ended up putting my stock handle back on.
  4. Pflueger Supreme XT all day....
  5. I've also read on here that some people use barbless hooks when worm fishing.
  6. I ended up buying a pair of fiskars children scissors, they work great.
  7. lol. I remember when I moved to Arkansas, I was fishing the Arkansas river. My line kept getting cut and the guy i was fishing with said, it's probably zebra mussels. I didn't believe him until I pulled about 3 of them up on my line.
  8. Which one do you use? The smaller one or larger? I have the smaller one, it seems to be dulling already, after a year.
  9. Caught two today..
  10. Shimano Antares 70 Dobyns Champion 702c 30lb PP to 10lb Yo-zuri leader I use this setup probably 95% of the time.
  11. I have a 7' Dobyns Fury. But I'm shopping around for a shorter rod. Go with a 6'6" or 6'8".
  12. I've actually lifted a 10lb weight with my ugly stick. Which is 2lbs more than a gallon of water. Not that I'd ever do this while fishing. Just saying.
  13. You two are probably right. I'm not using a heavy enough rod.
  14. I have one of these, but they don't cast that well. I don't get good distance with them.
  15. 30lb PP for my casting, 15lb for my spinning.
  16. For me, it was well worth the price. Casts very well, smooth, solid feeling. Better than all the reels that I've owned before.
  17. How would you compare the Morethan to the 16' Steez SV TW?
  18. The Albright is a good knot. It's thinner than the uni.
  19. Cals universal grease.
  20. Right now i have a Dobyns Champion XP 702. It doesn't feel that sensitive when using light jigs and worms. I know it's probably not the best rod for this, but I only have 3 rods and this is my best one. But I'm looking for a more sensitive rod. I was looking at the St. Croix Legend Tour and the Expride. Just an general purpose rod, light jigs, worms. I like shorter rods, because I fish the bank, sometimes with bushes and trees around me. Would either of these rods be more sensitive than my Dobyns? Or if someone else has a better suggestion around the same price point? Thanks.
  21. I still don't see the problem? Maybe it might be useful to someone else. You don't have to reply to my posts....
  22. Which I'm apart of. I don't see the problem?
