  1. You've never caught a fish on a jig..... Do you even fish? lol...
  2. Whats going on guys? One day in the fall this year me and my buddy were fishing as a huge cold front came through, I mean it was about 40-45 in mid september and he pulled out a white jig tipped with a white pork trailer and started swinging bass in the boat...mind you the water was pretty murky, here I am fishing with a brownish jig with a rage craw..I skunked that day...i was also in the back of the boat so im not sure how big a part using the color white played but I do think it had some effect.. so to my question, Ive looked online for some white/pale pork trailers and cant find any.....has anyone ever used these and where did you get them?
  3. Hey guys whats going on. Tommorow ill ve venturing down to SC in charleston for a friends wedding, and I was thinking about bringing a rod and possibly doing some bank fishing. I see that I'll be near the santee coooper lakes but my time down there is limited so I wont beable to set up a guided trip (wish i did)...anyways are there an ponds or small lakes around that area where I could possibly fish a few hours in the morning? and what about Goose Creek Resovoir? Is there any bank access or anyhting there? thanks guys -wm
  4. Wow thats amazing, very well done Question though, why the split ring atatched to the blade? I know z-man and the other companies dont use this and the vibration is amazing. My friend made me a custom one like yours with the split ring and I felt less vibration then just atatching it to the eye
  5. Personally P-line never will and dosent compare to hybrid, two different levels of quality, I've had the worst experiences with line with P-line than any other ive used. It seemed to just break so easy and the abrasion resistance also sucks I'm giving McCoy coplolymer a try, Ive heard nothing but good things
  6. Fish Sense Lures Binsky is the best blade bait on the market
  7. I would reccomend a 13 Foshing *** Black casting rod in the 7'3 Medium fast action.....you can do everyhting with this rod, pitch/flip smaller plastics and jigs, use it for worming on ledges, even finesee carolina rigging, cast senkos and flukes a mile without any effort, not to mention its super light and super sensitive. It's pretty good as a cranking rod for squarebills and traps too, the only technique its probably not very good at is a jerkbait rod, and thats because of the length.
  8. I would bump the bottom with black/red rubber worms and lizards, maybe even a jig with a black/blue rage chunk as a trailer For hardbaits I would use 3 things: Black/chatterbait Black spinnerbait Black buzzabit As always experiment with retrieves and find out what the fish want
  9. Has anyone used this line? I know a lot of people like and fish with the mean green mono, but i prefer copolymer for lower stretch and more sensitivity. From what iv'e read so far it has great reviews.
  10. can you buy and ship me some 15lb? and are they the 600yd spools or 275?
  11. Mainly i'm seeing less of the ultra-soft, but a little bit of both, the 12lb ultra soft in clear is my go-to light-medum flipping line seems the ebay sellers are running very low on stock as well...something is definitely going on
  12. Is yo-zuri hybrid coming off the market or something? I see cabellas nor bass pro shops has it in stock anymore and *** also has it on clearance... If this is happening its a sad day for me and fishing alone....I've never fished with a line as strong and as abrasion resistant as this...I also have seen a spike in price and a drop in listing on ebay...I'm sure if you have a Japan connect you can always have it but unfortunately I dont. Anyone know whats going on? -Mike
  13. I remember hearing this also
  14. Try the slop craw on a 3/0 hook with a punch skirt and a tungsten weight - make sure its perfection blue fleck
  15. Thanks guys awesome replies, im still somewhat undecided about weather I should get a glass or graphite rod, both seem to have advantages and disadvantages, I guess it really just comes down to personal preference
  16. Looking to get a rod for trap fishing / ripping grass. I know most people use glass for this but iv'e honesrtly never liked glass that much, i just have way better feel with graphite and its also lighter...I'm not saying I am against glass, I will try it out if you all truthfully believe its best for fishing a trap. I'd like the rod to be on the lighter side of a MH..I know some MH's are really stiff but some are a bit more flexible and not as stiff.. My price range is around 100-130$ Id say. thanks -wm
  17. For now only on the weekends really. But when I go out im usually out for about 10-12 hours. Working 40 hours a week sucks
  18. Sounds like a frogging day to me, start out with a Rage Tail Shad first on top early, if they arent reacting to that try a hollow body frog then go pitching and flipping if that fails, good luck
  19. I'd use them in murky/muddy water around shallow flats and laydowns, youll probably get whakced.
  20. what size trebble is that a #4 or #2?
  21. this wasnt helpful lol, I dont know what size hook that is
  22. I can't for the life of me rig this swimbait. Everytime i put the hook through the body it either comes out wrong or the gap of the hook is too small. Pretty sure the hook im using is a 5/O keel weighted hook. Can someone either link me to what hooks they use or something? I think its because the bait is so stiff and the body is so thick that the hook just digs into it instead of riding on top.
  23. what? Edit: just noticed lmao...woops
  24. Dosen't really matter if the color fades out after a few feet etc..point is the bass are already conditioned to that praticular shade whether it still appears red or not KVD did make a lot of cash...5.5 million When he says somthing about bass fishing you should probably listen lol
