  1. I assume that was how the research was driven, but I would like to see what "most" drives fisherman to buy what they do, which would only take into account one opinion (and produce a 100% total).
  2. I am not sure how these results were achieved, but I would think your results should add up to 100%.
  3. They do make the perfect power / action for me.
  4. I can only hope the scheduling gods are kind enough to grant Pittsburgh the chance to play Seattle again. I would leave Seattle alone...it took them 30 years to just make it to the Superbowl (and may take them another 30 years to get there again). We as Pittsburgh Steelers fans have been fortunate enough to have experienced 7 Superbowls and even more fortunate to have won 6. Therefore, I will take this beating from all others, while realizing that these fans have been taking the same beating for a much longer time.
  5. I edited my post. I did sound a little like a D-Bag there.
  6. Actually, had the Saints lost to the Redskins, that would have been the worst loss of the season. So, I guess getting beat by a horrible team is better than being that horrible team who administers the loss.
  7. Here would be my suggestion for fishing Lake Erie. One of four techniques will usually work for you (which will make buying lures easy). The first technique (and most enjoyible in my opinion) is jerkbait fishing. Bring a variety of jerkbaits from ones that run shallow to ones that run up to 10 feet. The second technique (and the one that produces the most for me) is drop shot fishing. Bring some heavier drop shot weights and any 4" goby imitation lure will work (some better than others) and I would keep the colors to green or watermelon. The third technique is dragging a tube. Bring several types of tubes and heavy tube weights (up to an ounce) and just drag these suckers with the occasional hop. The last techniques that works for me is jigging spoons (some guys like blade baits, which will work as well). Bring some heavy jigging spoons (up to an ounce) and get ready for a workout. I am sure there are many other techniques that work up there, but these four have been my go to techniques. As far as depth is concerned, you could find fish as shallow as 3 feet to as deep as 40 feet. The good thing about the techniques and lures I mentioned, you can use them at almost any depth as long as you have enough weight to keep the lure on the bottom. Good luck and I hope you tie into a seven pounder.
  8. I am going to say the Redskins losing to the Lions, because if you listened to Matt Millen last night, the Browns are easily the best team in the NFL and nobody should be able to beat them (I couldn't believe how much he was sucking the Browns, well you know what. Is he trying to position himself for a job in the Browns front office to help them achieve the perfect season, like he did with the Lions and their perfect 0-16 season?)
  9. Well, the hope of the Steelers making the Playoffs is gone. There is only one dream I have left for this football Season...A Colts (18-0) vs. Saints (18-0) Superbowl. As soon as either one of those teams lose, my TV will be off on Sundays.
  10. I am so angry...how do the Steelers lose to the Browns? Oh Well, I guess I will have to start rooting for the New Orleans Saints.
  11. That was just plain dumb ^ Struck a nerve huh ? That's pretty much what Browns fans think of Pittsburgh when it comes to football. You don't want to know what Steelers Fans think of Cleveland when it comes to football (or anything else for that matter)

  13. I would describe what RedLineRobert and Bronzefly have displayed as INSANE. Their equipment is truly impressive.
  14. my mistake. I guess I should have done a better search on the topic.
  15. I am a big fan of full grip rods (as well as rod brand continuity) and after going through many brands of rods, G Loomis & the Cabelas XML's have really suited me well. I am sure the Steez is a great rod, but until that sucker comes with a full rear grip, I don't see one in my future.
  16. I was wondering where LBH & Muddy have been (I'm sure there's other prominent members that have been M.I.A., but these two guys come to mind as two guys I haven't seen post from in a while)? I hope everything is alright.
  17. Neither of those plays were in the Super Bowl, so if Oakland got the calls you think they deserved, they still had other teams to beat to get those 2 extra rings.
  18. My only consultation in the loss is that Gradkowski is a Pittsburgh native.
  19. x3, though, I do think of swimbaiting as well (at least for me, I like the slower ratio reels)
  20. I don't have special or modified gear. All mine are run of the mill, off the shelf equipment (hence, why I didn't post any pictures of it). 21. I'm not sure about posting gear pics, I got beat to death just listing gear in a signature line. What do you mean beat up? You mean got hated on? If so, why do you care? Just remember, every hero has haters! Just tell em to put a tampon in it or get the sand out of their manginas! Anyway, good thread. I enjoy looking at the gear pr0n. I love that response. Steezy did take a pretty good beating, which I thought was unfair. He has always been very helpful to me when I had different questions on equipment. I guess some people just get jealous.
  22. How does a rod get busted in two in a pvc tube? I would think it must have been dropped from aways up and on end. Luckily for me all the rods I have ever received ended up at my door in good shape. I did have one like Cart7 where the cardboard (usps) was mangled, but somehow the rod came out unscathed. I have no idea, but I was not happy, because it was a custom flipping stick built on an IMX blank. Fortunately, I have ordered over 35 rods from either eBay, Cabelas, Bass Pro, TW, etc., which have been shipped through UPS, USPS, & FedEx and that was the only one that didn't make it safely.
  23. They did not let me keep the rod.
