Hey guys, takin a lil trip up to Charlotte, bringing the poles with, anybody know where some good fishing can be found off the bank? Taking a couple friends, want to put them on some fish! Thanks
Woke up at 7:30 and couldn't go back to sleep so figured I'd try some fishin out. Got to the water around 8:00 and started out with a fluke with no hits. Switched to a black and blue buzzbait with no success. So I start diggin in the tackle box, I find one 6" watermelon red flake dinger and immediately catch a few t-rigged. Once the worm couldn't be t-rigged anymore I just wacky rigged it and caught a few more. Finally I missed a fish and he took half the worm. So then I proceeded to t-rig the half a worm and ended up catching several more this way totaling 10 fish. I could of kept fishin it but it was gettin windy and I was gettin hungry, not bad for 1 worm eh! 8-)
Congratulations on making it that long... I see you live in Gainesville which I know from living in Orlando all my life, there is A LOT of people drinking there. Just do whatever makes you happy and who cares what other people think about it.
Hey FC nice fish! You said that you are out on the water for 12 hours with these split tails sometimes without even a bite, what do you do in the meantime? I know you don't drink, but I'm sure your not just twiddling your thumbs either!?
Thats weird that he went off the path and into the grass...it's cool that you made the best of it and kept fishing with the rod anyway, I would of done the same thing...that sounds like a good size crappie too.
