  1. I have a Dobyns fury fr702sf 7' medium light. I catch bass on the regular with a weightless senko. I also have used it for panfish with a 1/32 ounce beetle spin hundreds of times. I have also used a 1/4 ounce jig head and a 3 inch grub to catch red drum and flounder. I've also taken it into the mountains to catch rainbows on spinners.
  2. I used snagless sallys up until just a few years ago. caught plenty of fish on them for years. the bandit 100 and the culprit 7.5s both still catch tons of fish but i dont use them much anymore. replaced the bandit with a good square bill
  3. does swindle count?????
  4. I use the BassPro Excel line a lot because i get a huge roll of it at a really good price. i never have an issue with it breaking. PLINE is my favorite by far but twice the price
  5. I have been using some cheap 10 pound H2O express line for backing for every reel i own for over 5 years now. Bought a bunch of it for .50 cent a roll and i dont like it. so its backing until these next 4 rolls are gone. FYI i never fish line over 17 pound. Mostly 12 pound mono or co polymer line on everything
  6. Curados are awsome reels, i am a shimano man though
  7. I am not a big rod junkie, i dont have 56 rods and 30 in the boat at all time. i rarely own more than 10 at one time. but if i had to stick with only 3 it would be 7'0" MH-F casting 7'0" MH crankin stick 7'0" MF spinning. They would all have shimano reels
  8. sounds to me like your doing something right buddy. dont wear yourself out throwing the same bait all day. I throw a shakey head with a green pumpkin trick worm. i throw a drop shot with a aarons magic robo and a square bill crank bait. occasionally if i am throwing in deep water ill throw a swim bait. cover all colums of water
  9. I fish from shore with a jig on rivers ponds and lakes. I always use 3/8 chompers brush jig green pumpkin with a brown or cinnamon ultravibe speed craw. Works year round I hop it crawl it and swim it slow or fast whatever they seem to react to. Hope this helps
  10. This is very good info guys. I like to match my bait color to the bottom especially when using trick worms!

  15. Hey guys I am new to bass resource and I am new to Tennessee. I live very close to the hiwassee river and very close to parksville lake in Benton Tennessee. I sold my boat when I left Baldwin county Alabama along with tons of fishing tackle and Rods. I will be mostly targeting bass in the parksville lake and local lakes in the area. Any advice would be much appreciated! I'm a firm believer in soft plastics! I rarely fish hard baits. My biggest bass from the river is just over 6 pounds, although I have caught many many 4 and 5 pounders. Feel free to send any tips for the parksville lake or Indian boundary. Thanks in advanced. Bobby
