  1. Booyah super shad. 5.5lb lmb
  2. Oh, and this was waiting for my arrival from work
  3. I kept doing the same, but finally said enough was enough. I just can't wait for it to be a reality and in my hands...hopefully with a bass tuggin on the other end;)
  4. I don't know how big the lakes you fish are but...I love my 10' jon boat, I can take it in lakes, or the smallest of hidden ponds. I even took it out in a river once for stippers, right to the mouth of the Atlantic(really pushing it). Plus there's tons of mods you can do to make it more like a mini bass boat. I picked it up for $300 with title.
  5. For those of us that do a lot of bank fishing...it is essential to keep it light hahaha
  6. I force myself to stop at 5 setups, do some calculating and you should be good having a rod to cover all styles that come into play. As for tackle, it's just so shiney
  7. Um let me think.....nope i got nothin. I'll let you know when I find it.
  8. I believe there is a whole thread dedicated to this, http://www.bassresource.com/bass-fishing-forums/topic/147176-latest-tackle-purchase-thread-bait-monkey-victim-support-group/ But yes I do the same and have been all winter. I have 46 days left and have no plans on stopping now hahaha
  9. I was thinking about it, but can't come up with a design that would look good and not cheesy. Hahaha Not as if I have any other tattoos, I just think if its gonna be done it's gotta be worth it..not some I'd get tired of a few years down the line
  10. I love em..have some vendetta, veritas, and will be ordering a veracity this week. But I use them cause I love abu reels so I just stay with house brand. I think they are just as good as any other rods in the respective price ranges. I find them light and sensitive. It comes down to your personal preference. Me personally I try to remind myself when ordering rods that I'm not doing this professionally, I have no need for $300+ rods and the bass on the other end of the line sure doesn't care if it's cheap or expensive. So to answer, yes they are great and you can definitely get by on them. Are there better brands out there, sure...but the question is do you need them.
  11. +1 for the swimming pool thermometer, I even tie it on a rod and cast it out to read farther out deeper water.
  12. Danny Carey... best there is in my opinion, John Dolmayan is amazing aswell.
  13. I fish the reservoir only a few times a season, but not as much as I would like planning on changing that this time around though. There are without a doubt monster bass in there, I just don't buy into that story I was told.Funny...macs pond is two blocks from my house. I have never fished it though as they have light wire line over the water to keep geese out. The pond itself never seemed to be productive bass water to me, looks to barren and shallow.
  14. I like to think somewhere in my mind I knew that was gonna happen all along,What's worse is I found myself today already putting together my next setup/order, I just can't seem to shake the feeling that dropshoting is the answer to all my problems hahaha Stay tuned
  15. Welcome from the jersey shore, Funny story. I was talking to a park ranger at Manasquan res. a few weeks ago. I asked what the biggest bass he has seen out of there. He said 12.2lbs this past summer, I started laughing and said that would be bigger then the state record by almost 2 lbs are you sure it was a largemouth. To which he said yeah he knows his fish, but it was more like 11.8lbs hahaha
  16. Went into the fire aka tackle warehouse to buy just a couple jerkbaits, came out the other side with this... Oops hahaha
  17. Oops, found this waiting on the door step today.
  18. I use this if I'm fishing a bank, or out on my boat... A normal backpack that has 3 main compartments. I put three plaino boxes in the first one, and just swap out boxes depending on what lures I think I will be using that day. Second pocket gets all the bags of solf plastics and there's tons of them hahaha. 3rd pocket(smallest) gets all there terminal tackle...hooks, weights, line cutters, pliers. It then has a ring on the outside I clip my boga grip too. Open side pockets get the bottle of scent and some water for me.
  19. Yeah I have fishing dreams every now and then. It always takes place at one of the ponds I fish. I will hook into the bass of a lifetime, but never actually see the fish. Then after what seems to be the worlds most physically draining largemouth fight, the line breaks. I'll get em one of these nights.
  20. Most likely some sort of jig/trailer combo hahaha
  21. No I don't really care...just as long as they contain red, and or black
  22. This bring up a question I always had. Have studies ever come up with figures regarding average number of fry hatched per nest vs survivability to adulthood where a bass begins not be such a victim to the foodchain say 3+lbs?
  23. I did it once, the problem I noticed is that the waters here are packed with bluegill/crappie which would swarm the nest once I got the bass off it. Once I return the bass it would go right back and chase them off. I try to stay away from it now cause I don't want to be deminishing their numbers.
  24. I have my go to lure/styles, and when they don't work I become a specialist...
