  1. Here is a new 6" hardwood swimbait painted to resemble the rare and elusive firetiger crappie shad😁
  2. Thank you!!! I couldn't reel and hold the phone at the same time so was just pulling it around with the rod tip too high to swim it right, but I am happy with the action.
  3. Here is a new glide bait that I recently finished and painted in a bluegill pattern. It is made from Cherry and has a slow suspending sink rate. I got this quick video of it in a pool but was holding the phone with my left hand and dragging the bait around with my right, so I couldn't work it very well. 🙂
  4. Here is another 7" crankbait that I recently finished. Shown before and after epoxy top coats.
  5. Here are a couple of my latest cedar swimbaits. These ones are 6 and 7 inches long. I've been painting all of them in different color schemes so no 2 are the same.
  6. Thank you for the nice comment. For the spots on that bait, I used a plastic stencil that was made with a Cricut machine. The top coat product that I use is True Coat epoxy. It requires a drying wheel to slowly turn the baits due to it's long cure time.
  7. Not sure what this is supposed to be. 🤔 I originally intended on painting it in a firetiger pattern, but ended up doing spots similar to a crappie for something different.
  8. A new crankbait I recently finished in a carp pattern.
  9. Something I've been working on lately are these sinking swim baits. This one is 7" and has a slow sink. Looking forward to testing it out.
  10. Thank you! It's one of my favorites too.
  11. Another cedar wakebait.
  12. A couple new cedar wakebaits and a squarebill crank.
  13. Here is a rainbow trout bait I made recently.
  14. Thank you Crypt! Much appreciated! Still grinding away at it making a variety of baits here and there when time allows.
  15. Here is one of several wakebaits I've been working on recently. Made from red cedar and painted in a gill pattern.
  16. Thanks a lot and Keep at it!
  17. A couple of jointed baits I recently made from red cedar.
  18. It looks interesting, and there's only one way to find out.? Either way, you're bound to learn from it. Just try to make sure that the weight is dead center, as well as the line tie and hook hangers. It's fun to tweak your own designs into a functional bait, but it can take time. I'm always sketching and designing new stuff I haven't made before. Some of them never get off the launching pad, and others do well enough on the first attempt to keep playing with. Here is one of my sketches that I'm working on now. It's a 3 piece jointed Muskie with fins and tail. It will be interesting to see how the prototype swims and getting the weighting figured out. All I know is that the finished product looks really cool in my head which is a great way to start.
  19. Thank you Chris! Much appreciated. Thank you! That tiger muskie bait ended up looking like a smallmouth hybrid. Mostly due to the profile I guess. Calling it a Smuskie. ? Here's a few more pics.
  20. Still making my wood crankbaits when time allows. Really like seeing everyone's work! Most of my recent ones are built for Muskie, although I know guys that throw the big baits for bass also. Here are some of my latest red cedar offerings to the fishing Gods. ?
  21. Another one of my 10" cedar baits. This time painted in a smallmouth pattern.
  22. Thank you! I appreciate it! Thanks Detroit! Working on a few more now plus a 14" that would fill up more wall space. ☺️
  23. Some of my latest work in red cedar. I've been building some larger ones for Muskie lately, but will get back to more bass and walleye baits soon. Here is a 3" diver done in hot fluorescents and pearl paints, and a 10" Muskie bait painted in a Saugeye pattern.
  24. Some of my latest cedar crankbaits.
  25. I've been on a relief carving/foiling kick lately. Mostly building these for musky but bass will target them also.
