  1. I caught some white bass that were on the baitfish like white on rice. But every other species was mixed in as well. I literally caught largemouth, spotted, white, catfish, and barfish in the same spot. Like a buffet table.
  2. So unfortunately I couldn't even communicate with anyone this past weekend, as my Verizon phone had no service 95% of the time. Friday and Saturday we tried fishing shallow in Housen and Six Mile around grass and buck brush. I caught a few nice keeper sized fish on Ol Monster worms and TR baby brush hogs. Bite was extremely slow for us though. Got my brother on several smaller sized fish swimming a Rage Tail Cuttr worm. Starting Sunday we didn't have a bite until noon time, and I could tell my brother was getting discouraged. We moved out to main lake points in 20 feet of water and wore the Kentucky's and small largemouth out on Carolina rigs and shakey heads. Had to really stay glued to my electronics, it was an all or nothing kinda deal. Sunday through Tuesday we averaged somewhere between 30-45 bass a day. I believe Monday morning was the only day where the wind was a real issue. The rest of the time was was smooth sailing on main lake.

    Intro

Self admitting fishaholic from NE Louisiana. Caney Lake, Darbonne Lake, and the Ouachita River are my most frequented areas being within an hour, but I make fairly frequent trips to Toledo Bend and Lake Fork. Attached is my recent 8 lb 11 oz PB from Caney Lake!
  5. I'll be headed to the Bend March 25-29th with my brother. Will be his first real trip there since he was old enough to remember a whole lot. We'll be staying at Fin and Feather, so if you see a red TZX190 with power poles and a couple guys in their 20's give us a shout!
  6. Catt, I can confirm a few on beds. Caught a five pounder on the bed in a very warm pocket of Patroon (65 degrees.) I also caught several staging fish in the back of creeks in San Miguel swimming a 1/2 ounce jig with craw trailer. Saturday I had close to a 20 pound stringer. First post by the way, relatively new to Toledo Bend.
