  1. My 401 Cardiff holds a ton of line, would be awesome to see the spool.
  2. Don't threaten me with a good time! I'm telling you, if I can find a striper bite I may just extend my stay. Throw in some snakes and bass and I might look for a house. LMAO
  3. I sold my highest dollar one last year. Exceptionally rare 3:16 6" Real Deal. Not too many of them out there. I'll have all the big boys there. Largest thing I'm throwing right now would be the 3:16 Wake bait (10in, 7oz) or the Born Again Armageddon (10in, 7oz). I'll also have the "meat stick" there: 8'6" XH Low Down Custom rod. That thing is an animal. LOL
  4. Trust me, I have confidence in swimbaits probably to a fault. I've never been one to hear "that bait is too big" and take it to heart. I would rather spend all weekend throwing them for a single fish, just to prove to someone that a bass is a bass (or a fish is a fish) and it doesn't have to be California for a swimbait fish to be caught.
  5. Largemouth: swimbait, jig, fluke Smallmouth: Pop R, fluke, swimbait
  6. LOL, I know the bass are supposed to be the main focus but I can't get the snakes out of my head. Do they only really stay under the matted weeds or can you catch them on topwater stuff in more open water? How big of a bait do you think they will attack? Do they prefer any color over another? Are you ever able to see them beforehand and sight fish them?
  7. I am pleased to announce that she hit $500 last night! We are going to Harrisburg tomorrow to pre-register and turn in the cash/checks that folks have given her and then Saturday is PLUNGE DAY! We're both really excited and think it's going to be a great (albeit cold) day. LOL Thanks again for your support!
  8. Dude lives in Florida. It IS Spring. LOL Just keep fishing, time on the water will yield you more fish. Use proven lures and techniques, present them in high percentage areas and fish whenever you can.
  9. I went to Gander yesterday before going to work because a little birdy told me they got a shipment of ammo. 10 box limit there.
  10. Different strokes for different folks. Don't make me ball tap you.
  11. Pay to play in the swimbait game. It's not necessary, but up to a certain point you get what you pay for. There are swimbaits out there that get used and sell for more than that.
  12. Big Dwight stepped up and knocked it out of the park. Thanks buddy! Only $15 away from $500! How cool is that!
  13. Tried that, got tangled up with the real thing.
  14. Well, I can confirm the three box limit and their unwavering dedication to it. Bought three yesterday and there were only two boxes left of 223. They absolutely WOULD NOT sell it to me right then.
  15. I feel differently about the jig. I put it on my trailer but absolutely try to avoid getting it on the skirt of the jig as it has a tendency to make the skirt stick together. I hate that. I want my jig skirt to "flow" and the goo, while it is my favorite gel attractant, is no bueno on the skirt.
  16. Looks like it's gonna be a chilly one this weekend. LOL I was on the website for the event today and it looks like the total accumulated donations are going to surpass $115k for this event alone. That's a ton of money that will be turned into priceless smiles and memories. Thanks again guys.
  17. Dude's a stud, no doubt.
  18. I voted as a non-boater but as discussed before, would not be opposed to bringing the tin and tooling around with the trolling motors as I have no gas motor option.
  19. Like I said man, no worries. Skeptical trumps gullible every day of the week.
  20. Also wanted to say that she bumped up the goal to $400 now. This is the third time it has been bumped up due to the overwhelming generosity of some great people. Thank you so much.
  21. Understood, PM sent. For clarification, doesn't have to be 20 bucks. Any little bit helps. I put this on one of the swimbait boards I frequent and promised them pics and a video of the wife jumping into the water. I'll post the YT vid after next week.
  22. A little backstory: Earlier this year, I did a Polar Bear Plunge to help raise money for a local animal shelter. Unfortunately, my wife had to work that day and was unable to participate. Once she saw the video, it inspired her to participate in an upcoming Polar Bear Plunge, this one to benefit the Special Olympics. I'm a little late to be asking for donations, as the original date was set for tomorrow, 2/2. (Un)Fortunately, with the crazy rain we had this week, they have postponed the event until next Saturday, 2/9. It is being held on the Susquehanna River in Harrisburg, PA. My wife has established a goal of raising $200 to be donated to the Special Olympics. I'm sure most, if not all, of you know how great of an organization this is and how much the events held during the Olympics benefit those with special needs. If you feel so inclined to donate anything, I have provided a link directly to my wife's page, If you click on it, you'll get the added bonus of seeing our beautiful 7 month old daughter Teigan. http://sopam.kintera.org/faf/r.asp?t=4&i=1043835&u=1043835-374966783&e=6457667700 Thank you for your consideration. Wayne Please note, I have received Glenn's permission to post this. Thank you.
  23. If you're in grass, fish it like you would a trap. Let it fall into the grass and rip it out. The commotion of the bait hitting the grass and the thump of the tail will overcome any lack of visibility you have. With no moon, water is black at night.
  24. The 10" displaces more water and has the drawing power for THE fish I am after. Smaller fish will eat the 10" too, but I just feel it gives me a more realistic shot at the bigger fish in any given body of water.
  25. I like to use a 5/16th oz Booyah Baby Boo and bulk it up with a Yammy Flappin Hog, all said and done over a half ounce. The jig is strong and I like how the head comes through tree limbs/laydowns.
