  1. LOL, I foresee an unfortunate smelting accident. Points for you if you get the reference!
  2. You're a beast! That's very cool news.
  3. Absolutely legit. Don O is about as OG as you can get with swimbaits. If you dont know what the HBC is, look it up. He won the first one over the best big bait specialists in the USA. Not a single worry about ordering from him. He is always willing to help out too.
  4. I can actually say they are entertaining to watch. That takes alot for me to say. LOL I do wish Richard Sherman would be quiet though. Fun to watch, horrible to listen to.
  5. @speedbead
  6. My buddy cancelled on me. Texted me SATURDAY NIGHT. Glad I remembered to turn the alarm clock off. LOL I stayed around here and caught a few on the swimbait, nothing to write home about.
  7. Any lake is dangerous Sam. I can recall crossing Kentucky Lake a few years ago at the mouth of Blood River. S to N wind blowing right up the lake. I wouldnt want to venture a guess as to the size of the waves but it takes a lot to freak me out and I was freaking out. They might just have to allow time to safely get back or they can chance it. Play ball!
  8. Shoot me a message with what frames and lense color you are looking for. From your previous statements though, I don't believe I can match the price you are getting through your buddy. That's a good deal.
  9. I'm a fan of "The Can" estrous call. Grunt calls are finicky and unless your population has aggressive deer, I've seen some large bucks get very alert when I grunted and not in a good way. The estrous calls don't seem to bother them as much and I've actually had spooky deer calm down with soft estrous calling. Deer are different everywhere, but I know NY has deer pressure like PA. I think it would likely apply to you. Only one way to find out and that's give it all a shot.
  10. Still can't believe no one took me up on that. At the very least I'm not some anonymous Ebay personality....
  11. I am a big fan of the Cardiff. Honestly, I dont think you would go wrong with the Luna or the Calcutta if you want to spend that much.
  12. I hit the river last week and the water is definitely cooling. You could feel it through the waders.
  13. Going to Deep Creek on Sunday. Hoping to get into them.
  14. I have a Ten Point, I also sell them. Unless a guy is dead set on another bow due to brand loyalty or money constraints, I can usually help them see the light. Tenpoint is the way to go IMHO. Shoot me a PM if you like. Maybe we can work something out.
  15. Nah, I'll just let it ride here. I throw the offer out occasionally.
  16. "I killed someone with a trident"
  17. Wow, not a single PM? That's surprising.
  18. Just throwing it out there but if anyone is interested in trying a pair of Costa 580 Glass at a discount (250 retail, get them for 170), shoot me a message. I know this is akin to posting Daiwa stuff on a Shimano thread, but we are talking about your eyes. Gear is replaceable, eyes are not.
  19. I like them. The Watermelon/Red is just about as good as it gets. They are a little bigger than most tubes which I like also.
  20. They are easy enough to make. Threaded rod, two washers and two lock nuts for each rod you put in the box. I zip tied snap swivels in mine onto the rod. Simple.
  21. LOL, you have my number if you want to go.
  22. Whatever you get, make sure you untie the factory knots and tie your own again. Some of them I have seen look like the chinese guys were teaching their kids to tie their shoes.
  23. 44 mag lure retriever. Awesome. I also carry one of BPS ones that looks like a big green crankbait.
  24. I can POSSIBLY understand losing baits if you are beating the bank. However, I'm not above swimming to get a lure that I've spent a good chunk of change on. If you are in a boat, there is almost no excuse to lose a lure unless you set the hook on something and snap off. I'm with Hooligan. A good plug knocker (I carry two) will pay for itself the first time you hang an expensive bait. They are simple to use and a MUST for fishing any kind of diving bait, treble bait, bottom contact bait, etc.
  25. LOL, I can't afford to pay the kind of chedda' places like that cost. I would however accept a free invitation to fish swimbaits at King Fisher.
