  1. This is why I love my state. We actually require laws prohibiting this....LOL
  2. Ooooo-tay!!!
  3. Whooaaaaaa, hold up!!! Look at his signature at the bottom of his posts....uses the word mook to describe himself. Also, notice the little wink in my original post. Means I was kidding, no need to puff out the feathers sir....
  4. That mental picture is both disturbing and extremely entertaining at the same time.... ;D
  5. Hmmmm...Nunya....Bling Bling.....LOL ;D
  6. Haha, I dont know if what I do qualifies for this....but I tie a mean dressed treble hook. Its one of the things I do in the winter to pass the time... Wayne
  7. You guys are turning this place into Planters.com.....nutty. LOL ;D
  8. Ditto...on a side note, Muddy. If your avatar is the picture definition of a "mook," I am frightened....LOL
  9. Hmmm...BassResource.com baitstore. That's an awesome idea, I dont know how the sponsors would look at it though. Even if you get a dollar here and a dollar there, Glenn, its for the sake of the site. Its not a mandatory "membership fee" is a voluntary contribution. I know plenty of times when I loaned friends a few dollars for something....just consider it like that. We loan you a few dollars for continuing to run a great site. Wayne
  10. Its really strange that you mentioned this today. Before I left work today, I PMed Russ asking this exact same question... Great minds, I guess
  11. I am not political at all, but I do find it offensive when people do not support the troops. I enjoy reading the different perspectives on these subjects. Thanks fellas, Wayne
  12. Thats awesome, I hope people finally see these radicals for what they really are.
  13. HAHA, thanks guys. Your pics are getting me through the PA winter that seems to have finally arrived. Wayne
  14. On fish that are big enough to necessitate grabbing the gill plate, there is a considerable amount of room between where your hand hold is and where their lungs (gills) are. I am not saying that every fish requires that you grab the gill plate, but there are some that this technique is designed for. There is really no safer way (for fish or fisherman) to handle a big musky. This gives the fisherman a safe way to control the fish, which actually protects it from injuring itself during the release. Big fish like that HATE to be in the boat and will usually go nuts on the floor. Ideally, handling a fish as little as possible is the best policy. If you do handle a toothy critter for pics and getting the hook out, the gill plate grab is effective. Wayne
  15. Grabbing a fish by the gill plate properly will not hurt the fish. You equate sticking your hand into their gills to sticking a hand in your lungs. I would agree if in fact you were grabbing the gill itself. When using this technique for toothy critters, you grab the bony plate, not the actual gill... So I guess it would be like someone picking you up by the chest, no sticking your hand in someone's lung....JMO Wayne
  16. Three times a charm....sorry man, cant see it here either.
  17. Another BIG DOG!! Awesome.
  18. I am not a big ice fisherman, but I do go out in the cold during hunting season....remember, while alcohol might make you feel warm it lowers your inhibitions, decreases your awareness and does nothing to make your body warmer (lowers your core temp, if I recall correctly). Wayne
  19. If you want to travel a little further south in PA, the Susquehanna is a year-round smallmouth factory. I am a spring smallmouth guy, but would be more than willing to hit the water with you in the fall somewhere....as long as you put me in one of those videos!!!! LOL Wayne P.S. Ya gotta show me some deep water structure techniques...
  20. I just got off the phone with 911, told them that I have diagnosed myself as an emergency... ;D Wayne
  21. HAHA, didnt see that one comin' LOL
  22. That is a freakishly big smallmouth
  23. Great way to beat cabin fever, keep practicing with that baitcaster...
  24. Fishing may have been bad, but you can't really argue with Cancun weather in January. LOL Wayne
  25. HAHA, trust me....life with a boat will get better for you!!! It just takes a little practice. Thanks for sharing. Wayne
