  1. Yeah Tin, after you posted that I went and looked for it. Apparently I skimmed over it earlier in the day because it didnt have "FREE MONEY" in blinking neon. $800 would be nice, would definitely stimulate the economy for a guide in the Guntersville area at the end of March
  2. Tin, that circulated around my office this morning. Do you have a link for me? Thanks Wayne
  3. That is one of the most hilarious things I have ever read. Thank you. LOL ;D
  4. Abu C3 or the new Abu Record for round reels. As for low profiles, I have hear of many guys (Larry Dahlberg included) who are using the Curado 300 with great results. Wayne
  5. Texan, I am surprised that one of the media outlets hasn't pushed an itemized spending request under the "Right to Know" law.... If they can make a big issue over finding out how much Joe Paterno makes at PSU b/c he is a state employee, why couldnt they do the same thing requesting the information that every tax paying American is ponying up for? Wayne
  6. I've got Jeff Reed booked for Monday. He was recomended to me by a good friend of mine who fishes the Stren Series and he did real well at the G-ville toruny last year. Some of the guides on the list were recomended by Jeff Reed. Fluke, FYI....you are not listed on the Roadtrip site as attending. I gotta talk to Ronnie and see if he would like to book someone.
  7. I just can't see it....For those of you who like to jump, no, I dont own a Rico. But I also dont have any issues with my Pop R's
  8. I am glad to not be part of the "sub-prime" lending community. Got the fixed rate mortgage from the get-go and never looked back. My office is quite busy right now, which is not a good indication for the current status of the area. Wayne
  9. Mine ended up #4. I guarantee if they had a talent competition, the only thing mine would end up winning is the "Biggest and Dumbest" animal award. That's why I love 'em though!!!! LOL
  10. Avid, you can catch shiners using wax worms and a size 12 or 14 hook. We did it many, many times when I was younger. Find a good concentration of them and throw your bait out w/ a little splitshot or under a bobber. Not very technical, but it is effective. I am sure the traps RW mentioned above would work, but I think it will probably be more fun for you catching them on your own. Good luck Wayne
  11. Your input definitely adds to the thread. I wouldnt want to see you miss out on the excitement. Who all is getting a guide so far and who are you using?
  12. I let the rod ripping through the air speak for itself.... Not a big Ike fan, so I am a little more subdued in my approach. I have been known to grunt on occasion LOL
  13. I think this is the most action in the thread in a long time.... A combination of cabin fever and adrenaline mixed together in anticipation of the trip. I freakin love it!!!
  14. Ahemmmm......representatives of Nashville aka Music City will be there....as an official resident of THE MUSIC CITY I believe the Sweet Home Alabama should be the theme song with a little Hank Jr and Charlie Daniels thrown in!!! I second that motion!!!!!!!!!
  15. KICKDONKEY? You are a funny dude.... I PMed Russ this same question, so I suppose I can throw it out there for all. What are we doing for a video this year since Russ will not be in attendance?
  16. I ain't touching that one I wouldnt recommend touching "it" either. Good decision. Fiance cant snap her fingers, Burley. It is funny as hell watching her try though!!!!!
  17. if sleeping with jessica simpson and carrie underwood make you a **** then i wanna sign up ;D 65 million, Jessica and Carrie, and McBurly is jeaous. look whos named after a Clown Mc Donalds. LOL Romo the ****, your too funny. Come on Folks, dish it up, I got 5 Super Bowls to brag about!!! Winning Franchises have away of doing that. 13-4, and where did your team finish the season? Ya'll hookem, fishing season is on. Matt 5 looks pretty good on this side of the country too That should have been my team losing to the Patriots on Saturday!!! ;D
  18. I think it has something to do with that new "Search Engines Online" counter. Before this feature, the maximum number of users online was right around where your math is. If you add in those search engines, it comes up to meet the higher number. I doubt i explained that like it sounds in my head, but thats the best I can put into text. Sorry LOL Wayne As a reference, there are approx 308 "users" online currently. I believe this includes members, guests and whatever those "search engine" numbers are.
  19. Basser89 and I were looking at the Koolie minnow yesterday at Cabela's and commented that it was a weird looking bait with liquid in the inside. Hopefully they catch something for you. Wayne
  20. Or exactly 4 feet long :
  21. Just last night, I came across my first celebrity in public. Here is the story from the other thread: Muddy, we all had a great time there meeting you and Bruce. Definitely some fishing trips in the works for this year. Anyhow, after all the lure buying and BSing was done, my car-full of people decided to go check out and start the long drive home. The lady at the check out counter was handing me the receipt to sign and she says, "Geez, how much stuff is that guy gonna buy?" as she is pointing behind me. I asked, "Who" and her reply was "The guy from the Sopranos over there." Well, this got my interest and I turned around to see this tall gangly looking fellow behind me. I thought to myself, what the &**%$#^% is this lady talking about? Then I looked over to the next set of registers and there stood none other than Tony Soprano himself, James Gandolfini. One of the guys that came with me is a big, big fan. I went over and told him to look at the guy and see if he looked familiar. He darn near froze in his tracks when he realized who it was. We got a piece of paper and a pen from one of the registers and my buddy was too scared to ask him for an autograph. LOL I really wanted to leave, so I took the pen and paper and walked up to this guy. Believe me, this is a BIG man. I dont really have to look up to a lot of people, but I did with him. He was very nice and signed the paper to my buddy Travis. That is seriously the last person I would expect to see at a Cabela's with three shopping carts full of camo clothing, but there he was. Cool end to a great day. Thanks again to all that attended. Wayne Redline, you dont count for this one!!!!! LOL
  22. If someone's feelings get hurt because they are not recognized for this award, maybe they are not doing enough to deserve it in the first place. I realize that many people do things merely to be recognized and receive accolades. Its the people that do these things with a low profile, expect nothing in return and continue their efforts on a daily basis that are truly deserving. Oddly enough, these people are usually viewed in a positive light b/c no matter how low profile they are, people see them for the good things they do. Case in point: Alpster, the first selection.
  23. I have not YET had the chance to meet Ronnie, but have spoken to him on the phone a few times and enjoyed countless posts of his on here. You are truly an asset to the people you touch and I cannot wait for the drive to and from Alabama in March with you. After reading your quote, I am pretty sure you have some "honor" coming your way because you definitely have the "humility" part of it, and then some. Congrats to you, great selection by the staff. Wayne

  25. RW, you might be one of the only people on BassResource.com that actually knows how to spell striper. Most put the extra "p" in there w/o even realizing it. It is quite amusing on this end..... Secretlakes, great dog too!!! I have a Golden as well. Wayne
