  1. Hmmm....Megastrike Glue? Interesting concept.... Bobby, its cool. I knew what you meant. Besides, I still feel like a goon for recommending a scent company to the owner of another....
  2. Honestly, if you pull just about any knot tight enough and retie as necessary, you shouldnt have a problem with too many knots. A lot of times there are too many "rules" in fishing. I tie knots with braid that most people wouldnt recommend. I havent had a knot fail yet. I dont forsee "yet" being any time soon either.
  3. Buddy, if I could be there soon, the car would already be started.... Some day....
  4. Got a carp on a Trick Stick last year. Never thought I would see a 4/0 EWG hook in a carp's mouth...
  5. I love the look of the bar behind the rod/reel
  6. Palomar. Simple and very effective.
  7. I bought some of Gman's jigs from our own flea market. They were the first jigs I had ever purchased and they are still producing well today. Fine product.
  8. If you have to, rig it like a texas rig and dont use the post. Most worms I have used will stay on the post, but I think the worms you are talking about are like the 3X stuff. Very difficult to stick or a post OR even a screw lock.
  9. Haha, punch the throttle and start fishing the chum slick for sharks!!!!
  10. That color is KICK ARSE!!! Brent, the name of that photo is hilarious (if I am reading it right) LOL
  11. It is a meeting of fishing industry companies along with media participation. The companies unveil their newest creations for the upcoming year and take massive orders from retailers. Its basically the Detroit Auto Show of fishing.
  12. You are becoming very proficient at catching things that dont earn us money..... : LOL
  13. Done. While I dont have a ton of them, I can cover the water column top to bottom.
  14. Forgetting someone arent we? : CJ, it was a blast getting to fish and BS with you in Alabama. Cant wait to do it again next year!!!
  15. Well Zel, with gas prices the way they are, I understand.... Besides, I dont want you to whoop me in my own backyard LOL
  16. If your talking about the EliteXC, then you made the right choice. There was nothing "Elite" about it. Talk about putting the wrong foot forward for MMA. It's okay, MMA isn't going anywhere, thankfully! I have to disagree with nothing being "elite" about the show.... Two words: Gina Carano
  17. Its down here by me Zel, in SCPA. Small, electric only lake. Humps, drops and shoreline cover are the dominant features where most bass are caught. Many of the drops have scattered wood cover on it.
  18. Now THAT is a dangerous thought....
  19. In a very unscientific review of the products I have used, I have concluded a few things.... 1. KVD Line and Lure is without a doubt a great product. I have been using on all my reels, but I really see it shine on my Pline Cxx. Without the KVD, the stuff is not quite as manageable as I like. With it, I have no issues. Takes a good line and makes it great, puts great lines over the top. 2. JJ's is a great product as well. I have used it some to color tails on my worms used for bed fishing, but right now its all about the faster moving baits where I am at. I think JJ's will really shine when the deeper water bite turns on here. Plus, I really like the smell of garlic and this stuff reeks of it. 3. The Cavitron/Megastrike/Evo Jig gifts are also very high quality products. The megastrike goes on every swimbait and literally stays on all day long. The Shak-E2 heads stand up very nicely and have a great hook, although they dont skip very well due to that weight on the bottom. Buzzbait time will be here shortly in PA. I used a Cavitron last year and was very impressed at how slowly you can reel that thing in and get it to stay on top of the water. 4. I was out Musky fishing last weekend and while we did not catch anything, I got to explain the benefits of the Catch and Release formula to my fishing buddies. I like the fact that you can use the product directly on the fish to heal open wounds before releasing fish. If you think bass guys are fanatical about practicing catch and release, talk to some hardcore musky fisherman and your eyes will be open to a whole new world of STRICT catch and release and care for fish. I plan to have this stuff in my livewell in EVERY tournament this year, without question. It is that good. 5. As for the BTS, I have an aluminum jon boat and gave my bottle away. I am not sure if Alpster or CJ ended up with the bottle, but I have had no experience with that product. Looking forward to KY/Barkley in 2009. Thanks everyone!!!!
  20. Hopefully with more water and "the secret weapon" we can practice our check cashing technique this summer!!!
  21. LOL, copy that. Will PM you if the partner has "other plans" Beader? You're a goofball LOL
  22. Green Drake or some other Drake? Slate, grey.... Ah hell, just tie on an Adams....those darn things work everywhere LOL
  23. Hey PA and norther MD guys.... Just talked to Paul, the guy running the T's, and he told me the first date for MG this year is 6/28. Bring everyone you can, we finally have a full lake to fish again!!!!
  24. Why? Because they are not worth the $200 price tag.
