  1. Global domination
  2. Not insulting your intelligence, but use a small snap swivel. Fix ya right up As far as the Vibrax, I havent used the small ones since I stopped fishing for trout. The larger tandem bucktails are a great spinner to burn for muskies. That little blade on them makes just enough thump...
  3. From Yahoo this morning Michael Phelps eats 12,000 calories per day By Chris Chase After he retires from swimming, Michael Phelps might want to try his hand at competitive eating. The Olympic star recently said he consumes 12,000 calories per day, or 9,500 more than the FDA recommends for an active, young male. Phelps has to keep his intake up in order to compensate for all the calories he burns during the 30-hours per week he spends in training. He told NBC that an average day might have the following menu: Breakfast: 3 fried egg sandwiches, 2 cups coffee, 5-egg omlette, bowl of grits, 3 pieces of french toast, 3 chocolate chip pancakes Lunch: 1 pound pasta, 2 ham and cheese sandwiches, energy drink (1,000 calorie) Dinner: 1 pound pasta, 1 large pizza, energy drink (1,000 calorie)
  4. Need I remind you of the Calcutta DC debacle? : LOL, that was entertaining....
  5. Kent, I tried that one. Still says "timed out". I am not on a slow connection, actually pretty quick. This has been a consistent issue for me. I have tried it on other computers as well. Guess I will keep trying... Thanks.
  6. For some reason, every time I try and go to the Micro Munch website, the page will not load. I have tried typing the name in as an address, doing a google search and clicking on the link in some members' signature line. Each time, the page will not load. Anyone know what gives? Roadwarrior showed me some BIG jigs he got from there and paired them with a big Sweet Beaver. That thing had a sick profile. Gotta have 'em!!! Thanks fellas.
  7. Why on earth would you put the plastic worm in there (many times as you say) thinking in the back of your mind that the fish might die... Sometimes I just dont get people.... Seriously? : Anyway, as Bobby has said before...Confidence is the biggest influence in this debate. Fishing a bait you have confidence in will always work better for you. If adding one (or more) of the myriad scents out there to your bait makes you 100% certain you are going to catch more fish, then I am pretty sure you are going to catch fish. Sorry I am so un-scientific. It never really was my thing. Wayne
  8. Buddy, if I can swing it, I will go with ya. Get in touch with me about some dates and I will see what I can do. Keep up? I got nothing for that. That darn Cadillac that you drive kicks my arse at highway speeds. Thanks for the info.
  9. I hear ya man. The only thing is you can fish year 'round where you are. I am gonna be waiting until March :-[
  10. LOL, here I go again... Any preliminary details or a date when the "official" planning should or will begin?
  11. I merely allow him to entertain himself....LOL
  12. Jack, there are definitely people watching... Catt, thanks for the info. While I may never be on that lake, I appreciate the map reading tutorial very much. Wayne
  13. If/when we go, it usually depends on the bait. Treble hooks with our chicken livers and a decent size circle hook if using soft shells and peelers (same thing really). Back in the day, a #2 or #4 aberdeen hook with nightcrawlers got it done too. Wayne PS...in your sig, would you change it to Y'all already lol I can only say it so many times....
  14. I asked my future father-in-law and was told that of his three daughters who were ever engaged, I was the only one who had asked for his permission. I know it is good form to ask, even if not necessary. Guess who the favorite kid-in-law is now? Yeah boy!!!
  15. LOL Be nice Avid. I dont think the kid has ANY idea who he is poking his stick at...
  16. You want good or bad news? All I got is bad news.... Not saved... :-[
  17. Glad you got to go out with ol' Sharkie (the kid with all the questions) j/k Let me know if you find that "Y" again. There has to be a pig in there somewhere.... :-X
  18. LOL, I remember that like it was yesterday. As soon as I saw that it was the rod and not you going overboard, I could laugh about it. That think looked like a marker buoy bobbing in the water ;D
  19. The crowd seems to like him. Personally, I dont really care for him at all. Irritating little twerp, ain't he?
  20. Thats not a bad idea... i really don't like the o-ring method but i might give that a try. where do you get heat shrink tubing? Any hardware store or home improvement store (Lowes, Home Depot) should have it. It will likely be w/ the electrical connectors.
  21. LOL, us two? Nah... I kept asking him if he was catching anyone, giving him a little ego boost (like he needed it). Each time I asked him, he got a little more cocky. By the end of the day, it seemed like he would just cruise past and hold up the number of fingers for people he wrote up... Like I said, thoroughly entertaining to me. ;D
  22. Ok, here goes... I saw your response to the "kid" comment earlier, but your lack of personal accountability, to me, shows a kid's mentality... I agree with you 100% that a HP restriction might not be the way to go on any given lake. The fact still remains that there IS one on this lake. That has to mean something to the people using the lake. It is not up to the general public to decide which rules to follow, but it is their duty to abide by them. If those with the larger boats wish to use the lake, they should do so within the rules or find some other place to go. I am in no way, shape or form perfect. Far from it, in fact. I have broken laws and continue to do so (the cliche speeding analogy). But I know the consequences and have no one to blame but myself when I receive a ticket or some other form of reprimand. Really, how can this point be argued any further?
  23. I didnt put any words into your mouth, read what you have been posting and what you just posted again. Because there is no one to enforce the law and there are so many people breaking the law, is there really a law? Yes, there most certainly is a law. And it is being broken. What I am "misunderstanding" is how you see ZERO wrong in breaking a law you might not agree with.
  24. That is a very dangerous way of thinking...akin to saying that since there are not enough fish wardens, then I can keep as many fish as I want. Since there are not enough game wardens, I can kill as many deer as I want. Since there are not enough police officers, I can steal as many things as I want. As long as I dont get caught, I didnt do anything wrong? Like I said, very dangerous way of thinking....
