I wanted to throw this out there... If anyone wants to make a side dish to go along with the chicken cookout on Tuesday, let me know. Whatever you think would go well with pit grilled chicken sounds fine with me. I voted for the 7'6" MH/Mod. I like the extra length for casting purposes. The guy that designed the lure recommends using a larger (MH/H) crankbait rod and 15lb fluoro. I have heard that the Spro baits have a tendency to "helicopter," but I have not thrown mine yet and have not personally experienced it. Wayne

He didnt necessarily compare the bait to anything else, other than saying he worked it where he would typically throw a wake bait. So, I suppose you could gather that yes, it does compare to a Slammer in that it can be used for a wake bait. Obviously, different baits will have different actions and subtle differences. I think Matt's baits are proven and you should feel confident purchasing one (or 5 )

I just PMed Randall about this bait. He speaks highly of them and they are on sale, which makes it even better. I have not used the bait personally though.

I also have a "man cave" with all my stuff in it. The cave has a drop ceiling in it. One of the tiles has been moved in order to accomodate taller big bait rods.
