  1. I had a similar question not too long ago. I ended up with the Nikon D40. From all the opinions I received, you wont be disappointed with Nikon. I have taken some pictures with it already, and it is a very sweet camera.
  2. I agree with you 100%. Of the 9 hooks on a LC Slender Pointer, I wonder how many I could get to stick in him on one cast......
  3. I called up Roland Martin and he suggested you try this. https://www.spindirect.com/product_register.php?productid=16432&s=rocketmaxcast&sessid=1ff4dfcd19772a8994b1a99399d65c32 Very little stress on your shoulder. ;D
  4. I never trust a skinny chef...... So I gotta go with the fat Italian gentleman in the blue corner.
  5. Thanks for all the advice. I just got back from Circuit City and walked out with the Nikon D40. Out the door for $370. Figured that would be a hard price to beat. Thanks again for all the help. Wayne
  6. I think the only thing that concerns me about the D40 is the fact that it is only 6MP
  7. I was looking at cameras today, 3 dSLR's in particular. Sony a200 Sony a300 w/ live view Nikon D40 Please give opinions, why's and why nots.... Thanks fellas. JFrancho, I expect to see you in here somewhere If you would like to know anything else, just let me know and I will try and answer as best I can.
  8. Pike would be pretty cool too... kinda makes me wish I would of taken advantage of Lake Davis when they were in there. Although mostly small ones, I know they took some giants out when they killed the lake. Oh well :-/ Someone will put them back in there. It happened before
  9. I guarantee you wouldnt think it was crazy if you saw one of those 40" devils behind your JR. They wont "always" bite you off. I have seen them with a 13" bait in their mouth, 3/0 trebles hanging everywhere and they open up and spit it. Never even hooked....their bite strength is scary. I can't even hold on to a bait without hooking myself. ;D
  10. $200 baits?? I need your job! http://www.316lurecompany.com/baits/hardbaits.html Just saw one of these sold in under an hour for $360. I believe Jay has more than one....
  11. Ye of little faith..... I am right there with ya. Nice idea though. Always good to keep thinking.
  12. Thank you!!!! Now 4Bizz will quit complaining ;D No he wont!!! ;D
  13. We were all waiting for it at my house. Never said I didnt think it deserved another look. Everyone was very surprised to see the Steelers kneeling to run out the clock w/o a review.
  14. Ok, two things here that I forgot to highlight: 1. You dont have any astericks due to your lack of championships. 2. There is a difference between "gloating" and being happy that your team won. You're stepping out of character there, Glenn. What's up with that?
  15. Glenn, seriously.....GIVE IT UP MAN!!!! Get a glass of water and rinse that bitter taste from your mouth
  16. Understood. Takes some cojones to admit that, BTW.
  17. Agree to disagree then?
  18. That looks like something Paula Dean would do a show about....actually, I think I saw her eating one of those at some point. I'm not gonna lie, I would probably try it. ;D
  19. Kinda like you assume the refs were "helping" the Steelers win? To me, "helping" implies that there was some secret pact to give the Steelers an unfair advantage. Until that fact is proven publicly, there is really nothing concrete, only assumptions... It was a great game and obviously I am happy that my team won. Arizona is a great team and impressed me a lot. It could have gone either way, but I am convinced that the better team won. I just dont get how its always someone's opinion that the Steelers are seen as the refs' golden boys....
  20. Because they dont have any Belichik cronies to film the other team... : You sound like Glenn....
  21. I'm not a doctor, but burning pain is never good. I typed in "immediate burning pain when deadlifting" and the thing that popped up the most was something about a possible hernia. Make sure you keep an eye on it. A couple things: -Be sure that you are warming up properly before going heavy. -Personally, I dont like to use a belt as I feel that it creates a false sense of security. Proper form and knowing your current limits will help tremendously. -Don't "blow your gut out" when performing the lift. Keep your midsection tight and make sure to BREATHE!!! I like to warm up w/ some sumo squats before deadlifting. Not a big fan of stretching pre-workout, sorry.
  22. But I thought you had to go to college for at least some time before entering the league..... Now I am really confused. :-?
  23. I dont know if this has already been covered, and I cant find a definitive answer on the search engines.... Why do some NFL guys say places other than where they played college football (i.e. a HS team)? Just curious.
  24. Its good. I have not had that exact thing, but we make something similar in the smoker. Ours is kind of the reverse of that. We press out loose sausage in a cookie sheet, layer with cooked bacon strips and bleu cheese crumbles. Roll it and slow cook it in the smoker. Very tasty. I like how they lattice the bacon on the outside of it. There pictures are much more "pretty" than ours usually look.
  25. I stand humbled. GSP is just plain sick. BJ didnt look good at all. I think Thiago Alves v. GSP will be an amazing fight. That kid is a beast too. I think if Lyoto Machida fights Rashad Evans, it will be the first (and probably only) time I will cheer for Evans.
