  1. He is with us in spirit.... ;D
  2. Lucky for me, Lauren encourages me to go on this trip. Obviously, she hasnt met the majority of you all. ;D The first year, she was nervous about the whole thing. Once she met Ronnie before the Guntersville trip, she was cool with the whole idea. Yet another thing to thank Alpster for.
  3. I just wanted some seat time in the Legend.... :-[
  4. Still doesnt change my mind that if I am earning wages from two jobs, I should get it (and be able to keep it) from two jobs.
  5. Good deal Bobby, cant wait to see them.
  6. LOL, can always count on AJ for stuff like this... ;D I have two jobs and my soon to be wife has a job too. Max that can be received is $800 for a couple and we will end up getting $1200, meaning $400 goes back to them. So much for being "rewarded" for working. : Freakin' LOSERS. So you're complaining that you have to pay back $400 out of $1,200 that you received? You're still $800 ahead of where you were had this not been put into place. Seems like an odd thing to be complaining about to me. If someone walked up to you and said Ill give you $1,200 but in a few months you have to give me $400 back would you not take him up on the offer? Actually, I am complaining about two things: 1. Why can't they design this "program" so that the funds are automatically cut off when I have reached the limit? 2. If I am working two jobs, why shouldnt I enjoy the benefit from both of them regardless of the $400 limit? Everyone has the opportunity to work more than one job. If the program is designed to encourage people to work or reward them for working, why on earth should I have to pay the money back to them? Just doesnt seem right....

  8. Simp, what dates? I know where I would be, but I dont know if that is what the locals will tell you. I believe those fish will still be in the laydowns and that is what I would hit first, especially in the morning if the water temps are up. I am sure you will hear about deep cranking ledges in the summer, but many people arent comfortable w/ deep cranking.
  9. Try throwing it on a chatterbait head.
  10. Losing baits is just the cost of doing business. If they arent getting stuck (at least occasionally), you probably are not fishing them correctly. If you are in a boat and have a good plug knocker, you will lose very few baits during the retrieve. Keep banging those Huds. The Mattlures bass is another excellent suggestion as well.
  11. Which facility did your wife get an offer at?
  12. Come on fellas, step up and help a brotha out. I met Robby earlier this year and he is a good guy. I am sure you will get the boat back in better condition than before they got it.
  13. Make what less obvious? That they sell advertising? :-? Careful Burley.....He can whoop Bill Dance in a tournament and leap tall buildings in a single bound.
  14. It happens. Plan on attending next year's event when it is announced. See ya there
  15. Some people's kids.... Wish I was wealthy, dont need the hassels of sponsorship and most certainly am not spoiled. Work hard, save the money you would spend on inferior baits and buy a couple proven producers. A 6" Hud or Mattlures Baby bass is only $15, will catch fish all across the country and doesnt require specialized gear. 'Nuff said. Next....
  16. Forget fishing for bass this summer. We need to go after those. Soon. Let me know and I will be on the first Friday bus to WV.
  17. No doubt, see ya there.... : It's amazing to me that you posted about these things, seemingly with no experience of using the worms and you are ready to weigh in a big bag with them?
  18. Its cool. Now ya know, and knowing is half the battle. ;D
  19. Matt, I think that is a snapping turtle.
  20. Next week? Take a shallow crank rod, a jig rod and a spinnerbait rod. All set.
  21. Matt, luckily enough Bobby saw what this guy was all about and he is no longer sponsored by them. Unfortunately, there are an almost infinite number of people out there who will never know about him until it is too late.
  22. Thanks Russ. You possess slightly more tact than I do. ;D
  23. Taking water clarity into account, I would say your smallmouth are going to spawn deeper than a LM. Stick to rock as your main focus, ideally. As you know, PA is not an ideal state for anything bass fishing. They will stack up on points and the first drop-off area, but I would concentrate where that first drop is near considerably deeper water than if I was targeting LM. I would say that smallmouth will tend to suspend near the drop, as opposed to relating directly to the bottom contour. I dont have any experience with B-ville (I assume this is where you are looking), so I dont know any specifics.
  24. So when is BootenRods.com going to be up and running? Ronnie, you build a pretty mean stick yourself. Every jig fish I caught in Kentucky was on your custom. Thanks again buddy!!
  25. There is also a little town called New Oxford that has Conewago Creek running through it. It has smallmouth in it. The largest I have seen come out of there was a touch over 20".
