  1. ;D You and that dang micro light... When you going after sturgeon this year?
  2. I am truly flattered....
  3. I dont. I grew up an hour northwest of Raystown and now live an hour south of it. I havent ever been in a club. I dont have a boat with a gas motor and there really are no clubs around me.
  4. For as big a lake as that place is, I really think it is lacking in the bass fishing department. I know there are big fish there, but not enough of them to keep me coming back.
  5. I dont think I will ever be the same.... Fishing for 20 hours in a 24 hour period will do that to a fella, especially when those 20 hours are spent with Burley. Help us all....I am sitting at work, wishing I was sitting somewhere on Stonewall.
  6. I am all about throwing a spinnerbait into tree tops, especially ones like you described with just the tips sticking up out of the water. Bang the paint off that spinnerbait and hold on. Jigs would also be heavily fished in that situation.
  7. I'll help you.... Check the Lure section. ;D
  8. Only limited by your imagination. Deadstick, cast and reel, twitch. On a good day, I can get the cadence down and make the thing dive and then stick its face up out of the water like it's feeding on top.
  9. You will hear about this in WV, you realize that? ;D
  10. That's an understatement, I have as much fun at these things as the kids, no joke! This particular fish was special though, this family will never forget it. I was on the picnic table with my friend Michelle and I saw Matt lift his rod out of the water. Bobber, split shot, tiny worm hook and a huge madman craw, lol. I said, let's get this guy on some sunfish (Bass bite was dying, place is small and they got pounded the 1st hour) So I hook Matt up with a sunfish rig and sure enough, he got one. Well, as he's reeling it in, about 3 feet from shore, 2 fish come up and both try to smash the kiver. Now he's skitzing out, and sure enough, one of the Bass gets him. So we set the hook and pull him out of the fish's mouth . I rig another rod with a big hook and we thread the gill on. Matt casts and again, we get to watch 3 feet in front of us as the bass keeps TAGGING this bluegill. Matt is beside himself. I mean.....wigging out! So the Bass gets it and we let him get it in his mouth a bit, letting her head for deeper water as she begins choking down the bait. I reach over and grab the rod and line at the same time and yank back, almost punching Matt in the face,....when I let go, he had himself a reaaaaaal good pull and then the screaming began!! WOO HOOOO,...MOM LOOK,...MOM LOOK!!!! The video begins just after I land the fish and Matt is winding down,....now in awe of this thing I'm holding. Memories are the real treasure in this world, and we were both pretty rich that day There are only two things I can think of that are better than reading your story. 1. Listening to you tell it in person, because I can imagine how excitedly you tell it. or 2. Being there to witness it in person. Keep it up Russ.
  11. So, uh....When can can I get 1 of those? ;D
  12. LOL at "RAD" ;D You two are funny. ;D I have one of the Shad Baby Wakes. Once you start throwing it, you will soon realize that it's not a very big bait at all. You WILL want to buy more and bigger. Trust me. :-[
  13. Ah, the infamous "Darth Vader" that I mentioned last week. This thing is freakin' sweet, no doubt about it. Maybe Big O can tell the story about the head of this bait. Quite entertaining.
  14. I am gonna guess the one you missed weighed approximately 6lbs. Nice catchin'
  15. Dr. Suess? Is that you?
  16. I'm not gonna lie. I have them both in my bag. There are two reasons for me using Ragetail now instead of the Paca: 1. I feel the Rage line has a better action. 2. No one from Netbait has ever sat down, had a beer with me, talked openly about their family and trusted me enough to discuss baits and concepts not yet introduced to the general public. Big O, through his enthusiasm and trust in his product, has made me a Rage Tail fan for as long as the baits are produced. That's about as heart-felt as you are going to get from me, ever. Wayne
  17. Really? I don't think he has a product out there that hasn't been produced before. His tail design on the anaconda is a little different but I think that Net Bait was around before and his baits are pretty similar. Rage Tails are good product don't get me wrong but I think they are a little over hyped. Nope. I'm sure Big O knows the timeline better, but this has been discussed before.
  18. Perfect. I will be there.
  19. Honestly, I dont care. ;D Great Job Allie!!!!!!!!
  20. "Daddy would you like some sausage?" ;D Tom Green has something wrong with his medula oblongata....
  21. That was a very touching story about your grandmother. Sounds like you received some good advice from a very wise lady, something we can all learn from. Thank you.
  22. Hmmm.....Can you say "Advantage - Speedbead/BK42" ?
  23. That is actually a chemical sold for aquarium fish. I dont know the effectiveness in a wild setting. I dont really buy into the thought of the "stress pheromone" and I know bass are not all that intelligent, but I think seeing my buddy get ripped out of the water by his face would be less of a deterrent than seeing him not come back ;D
  24. Spongebob is the only strange thing you noticed? You find a fat, talking starfish and a "meowing" snail to be normal? ;D
