  1. Whoa nelly.... How can a product be sold with that "service" as a selling point and now that the product is no more, the "service" goes out the window as well? What happened to the "upgrade" if you model was no longer in production? That is a new one that should ruffle some feathers. I handn't heard that stipulation before. Hypothetically, what is to stop Loomis/Shimano from changing a couple call letters, say MBR changing to HBR (making that up, of course), and saying, "Sorry Charlie, that rod is no longer in production."
  2. It is definitely heavier than the Loomis, but I'm not exactly petite either. A couple ounces either way does not bother me. The butt section is wider, like a traditional flipping stick. It balanced well with the STX and I really like the feel of the ACS reel seat.
  3. I won my rod in the last give away. Before receiving my rod, I had the opportunity to handle the Carolina Rig stick won by BadKarma42. Needless to say, I was very excited to get mine in the mail. I got the rod on a Thursday and immediately hit the lake. In the time I've had the rod, it has been used on 5 trips. The rest of this review will be notes from my experiences. I threw jigs, frogs and swimbaits on the rod. -This is a big stick, considerably larger than the C-rig rod. -It is rated as a Fast taper and it is definitely fast to x-fast. -Fit and finish on the rod is impeccable. Very nice accents on the guides and I love the look of the winding checks on the blank. Blank color is a deep blue in the sunlight. -The rod is very sensitive. IN MY HANDS (so no panties in a bunch), the rod felt as sensitive as my BCR 854 GLX while pitching a jig. No joke. -For jigs and frogs, I found the rod to be perfect. Pitches were accurate and distance was great. -I found it less favorable for throwing swimbaits as I prefer a little slower rod for loading up and launching baits. The accuracy on shorter casts was still nice. -Fighting fish is not an issue. This thing is a beast. -The telescoping portion of the rod felt very secure and locked in place nicely. I paired the rod with a Revo STX/braid and a Curado 301d/P-Line CXX for the testing. The rod handled both reels and lines without a problem. Overall, I really like the rod. I can see it used for flipping and pitching more than swimbaits in my boat. It is a fine stick and for the price point, it will be MORE than competitive once people start using them. Will I buy more? Yes, based on the sensitivity alone. Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to try the rod. Good luck with your endeavor. Wayne PS: I will be waiting to see a large capacity reel from Pinnacle.

  5. I believe you can get the new Kistler in a spiral wrap as well.
  6. Custom builders. I have two and I love them both. One is built on a Shikari 6'8" MH blank. Great little pitching rod for lighter jigs. The other is an 8' Loomis Back Bounce rod that I use for small to medium swimbaits. Both sick, both crafted by Alpster.
  7. Perfume? More like Marlboro and Budweiser... ;D
  8. Bass Pro Extreme combo I have the 6'10" ML rod and it is sweet for split shot, light shakey and drop shot.
  9. I hate you. Just drink it, sissy. You crystallized uric acid.
  10. Not true at all. I have had the 7'6" Carrot for three years and have not had a problem. The equipment gets used, not abused. This rod is still working just fine.
  11. You must be delirious !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I dont agree with BB on alot of things. This, however, is one of them. Boo Baltimore!!! ;D
  12. Here is the thread with video. Bobby, your link didnt work for me. http://www.bassresource.com/bass_fishing_forums/YaBB.pl?num=1248805298/7#7
  13. There is your elaboration. ;D
  14. No problems. Go Steelers.
  15. In theory, you could employ the technique on your E2 jigs as well. Seems like it might give a trailer the same action as the new Larew jighead that Biffle has been throwing. Just a thought...
  16. I'm a whiner, what can I say. ;D PM coming to ya. Gracias.
  17. I realize you would have to change the head design of the Cavitron, but are there any plans to incorporate your spinnerbait design into the buzzbait area? BTW, return my PMs. ;D
  18. Just because they "as good as the bbz" doesnt make it a good bait. I'm not too fond of the BBZ shad either... :-/ Also, don't forget that ANYONE can write a review. You don't suppose that someone internally at RS may have typed up the review, do you? :
  19. The Cross Swamp Worm was designed for wacky jig/flick shake. IIRC, Bobby's bait was meant to be fish more horizontally. I haven't tried it, but I'm guessing The Megastrike bait has some sink rate to it as well. I believe this was the bait pictured in the previous thread. Not sure. That thread was quite a few pages ago. Perhaps it was a victim of the disappearing thread genie.
  20. Which area would you like elaboration? ;D
  21. Seriously? You didnt see the gay little "winky" smile at the end of that last post meaning I was busting your chops and/or joking with you? I think all that rain in Washington is getting to you...man.
  22. This was already addressed and that photo was posted. The biggest difference is that Bobby has permission from Gary Y himself to use a senko mold for the Megastrike baits. Same general concept, different baits.
  23. Swimbaits? Yeah, we can do that. ;D
  24. LOL, never fail to take a shot at the Steelers and their "declining" organization. Good one, hoss. Means alot coming from one of the toilet bowls of the NFC, Seattle. (Don't worry FBL, the Raiders are the turds in that bowl.) ;D Oh, I and see what you did there spelling Whisenhunt's name correctly. While we're at it, Big Ben's name is "berger" at the end. Please omit the "o" in your future spellings. Bring on the season already. ;D
  25. What have you heard about this rod? I need a new flippin/pitchin rod...Is this a good rod for the money or should i look someplace else? My fishing partner has one. He likes it alot. I have thrown it a few times and yes, it certainly has enough backbone for anything you would want to do with it.
