With that many baitfish around, yours needs to look the easiet to catch. Go to the extremes - fast and SLOOOOOW. If it doesnt stand out amongst the "real" fish, you are in a crapshoot that, most of the time, you will lose.

So many conspiracy theorists out there... : Testing it against the folks who enforce the law will only get you fined/arrested. Again, dumb. Also, I don't think it's a bad law. It creates funding to raise the trout which in turn feed the bass. As was said before, just buy the stamp.

Last time, the solution was to just buy a trout stamp and be done with it. You would have all your bases covered. Why don't you just listen the first time instead of pushing your luck with the game wardens? If it happens again, I hope they give you the maximum fine allowed by law. Maybe then it will sink in. Stop being dumb and testing the system in the field. If you have a real issue with the law, take it to a representative of your DFG or a rep in your area that sits on the state committee governing your wildlife laws. You're an adult. Act like it.

Tom, hit up Randall and head to Lake Varner in Covington. Mapquest says approx 1hr 22min from Temple to Covington. You would likely have to go on his boat; I don't believe boats with gas outboards are allowed on the lake. Wayne

KVD Line and Lure is all I use on my lines. IMO, it is cheap and helps with manageability.

In my experience speaking with MLM guys (two sit-down meetings and one large group meeting), I felt slimy after talking with them. "Used Car Salesman" is the feeling I got... I had the same things on some of my grandfather's lures he gave me. I just scrubbed until it came off. Seemed like some type of mildew/mold to me. Try a gentle bathroom cleaner designed for those conditions.
