Don't go breaking the dam thing. ;D
Seriously though, it won't hur them being bent. I have an Explorer and all my swimbait rods rest against the roof while I am driving.
IMO, if they can't take that little bit of stress then they are not a rod I want to use when throwing big baits.
I think you might want to try and fit that 7'11" Okuma in your car.
What kind of car is it?
I can fit my 8' Loomis in the wife's Mazda3. Put it in the passenger side door and extend it through the back seat. It may bend the rod a bit, but it won't hurt it.
Letting a bait sit there, doing nothing.
Floating baits - keep the slack out of your line and let the wind/waves work your bait.
Sinking baits - let 'em sit.
I have the 20lb on both a 301 Cardiff and a 301 Curado. The L&L is necessary, but a couple casts will straighten the line out.
As was said, positives outweigh the negatives the way I use the line.
This week will be a good measuring stick for how much they really want it.
If they can keep guys from getting hurt, they have as good a chance as anyone.
FYI: Three Steelers got concussions on Monday.
Hmmm....Our meeting in a couple weeks is shaping up to be rather important.
Think you team has enough swagger to beat the Stillers?
Care to propose a wager? 8-)
