That Mag Heavy is like a extra heavy. It is rated to 2 oz. lures. You could literally use it for small swimbaits as well. With the extra fast tip, for fast hooksets, and that when frog fishing you are normally in the slop, that is probably the rod I would pick. However, the MH ex fast rod would probably work out also.

Have you tried flourocarbon or braid, your sensitivity goes up huge amounts over mono.
