  1. 170 feet deep!? That is super deep for down here! I'm sure it's got some big bass, I'm sure they're smart though. Good luck
  2. Yea some of these lakes gets deep. I haven't been out since my last post :( I'm gonna try and get out this week coming up. Need my therapy!
  3. Hey all, this is my informal fishing report based off of my experiences in the residential lakes in West Pines I'm Broward County. I've noticed lately quite a few people asking about fishing in Broward County so I figured I would share my experiences of the past two weeks fishing. the lakes I've been fishing have been higher than normal and really clear waters at about 66 degrees Fahrenheit my fish finder picks up a lot of fish at 10 to 17 feet. Some suspended and some are on ledges. So far top water and so slow fished Texas rigged worms on ledges are working. The colors I use are the usual pumpkin seed, June Bug, watermelon. I've noticed the bigger bass are deep and haven't figured figured out their preferences yet but this is what I have so far. I hope this helps anyone struggling with the bite right now. Also I know there are a lot more experienced anglers out there and if anyone wants to add to this I'd be more than happy to hear how anyone else is doing.
  4. The C14 canal is not far from you. There's plenty of bank access and it's a good start. Also like fishy fingers said, Google maps in the way to go. Also Also don't forget your in prime real estate for some snakeheads. Good luck!
  5. On the east coast I'm noticing the same kind of fishing. Lots of smalls on watermelon and June bug worms, some on top water. All the big fish have been very elusive. Thanks for the post, I was wondering if it was me but apparently the fishing is the same on your end.
  6. For what it's worth, the fishing in my residential lake in west pines has been real slow. I don't know if it's related but it's odd for my lake. It usually has no real pressure and the fishing is usually consistent.
  7. Thank you for the warm welcome!
  8. Hey all, I just wanted to introduce myself as I am new to the forum. I've been fishing in the South Florida area most of my life. This looks like a good community with people who share the same passion as I do. I started out bass fishing and then moved to salt water but unfortunately I've had to sell the boat and have found a new love for bass fishing again!
